Players signed from rivals

So, with our main rivals being Colchester, Orient and West Ham, just how much does it matter where our players have been before they join us?

Ahahahahahaha! WestHam? Are you completely mental?! You've spent one season in your entire history in the same division as them! Just because half of your mates support them doesn't make them a 'rival'.

Good work on the Col U rejects, by the way. ;)

Head rivalries rather than pitch ones mate.

Only one of the list so far has legendary status at both clubs. Super Roy McDonut

J Boere - Wet Spam

I think I'll let Lord Walker fill us in on whether or not he thought Boere was value for money.

I know Pubey mentioned JCR earlier, but let's just remind ourselves of that scenario. We wanted to sign him, he wanted to come here but there was a major problem with signing him from Rotherham. In effect Colchester did us a favour by taking him when we couldn't.

The real ignominy here, surely, is that they're loaning us a couple of players. It's as if they have a couple of reserve teamers who aren't good enough for their first team, so they're being sent down to us to get some match fitness...

The shame of it.

:(

Exactly this!

My thoughts and Matts words, A winning combination.

You know for someone that usually makes a lot of sense in their posts you really are letting your emotions rule your head on this one Matt.

I refer you to the post I made in the 'Heath and White in' thread. Let me know your thoughts on my opinions because I truly am at a loss as to understand the thinking behind your above post.

Wow you boys must be as old as me :)

But yes Firestorm was correct we signed him from Orient and then he joined you lot from us, must have been about 1970?

Firestorm is older. ;) Odd how memory plays tricks on you, Owen actually worked at the same company as I did a few years back. He still does not have a perceptible neck.

I know he's got very bad press but Barry Silkman was a good signing for us (from the O's) chiefly because my understanding was that he encouraged Richard Cadette to sample the sea air too...

Indeed. I'm very surprised about MtS's attitude towards this.

I think the situation has mainly been the other way round with your lads leaving to join us, some of which were not very good....

My memory goes back a long way so how about some of these for the old timers on here, and also the not so old ;)
