Players leaving

i think Paynter will go. Maybe Tilly will send a couple out on loan like Hooper last year. If Zoltan isn't ready yet send him to some League 2 side or Col ewe to gain some experience.

Players out -

Bradbury _ Bournemouth have been after him for months

Gower - pity, but more cash towards the rent

JCR - swap for Byfield or maybe renewed interest from Barnsley

Foran - bye

Hammell ( yes Hammell) -

"who needs Steve Hammell when we got Che Wilson "

Harrold - Dagenham - will score 3 in the JPT

Hooper - Orient on loan

Liptak - University of Essex and Wivenhoe Town

Adameno - Cambridge on loan (when fit)

Moussa - Vitesse Arnhem on loan

Paynter - Travis Perkins

MacDonald - disruptive influence since the new nutritionist arrived .

Would save a few bob eh Ron ? ;)

Interesting comments. He didn't say in what capacity they will be leaving though, so maybe just some loans out. I can't see it being too many as he has said he's enjoying having a big squad.

Paynter more than likely. It's a shame because I was talking to a Bradford fan up in York last weekend who had nothing but good words to say about him, and he was in full confidence that if we got him fit and confident he'd score goals for us... I just feel he hasn't settled which happens sometimes.
I'd hope it to be Harrold, but he's Brushy's little darling so it wont happen.

Perhaps Hooper on loan somewhere.

I think we should persevere with Paynter unless we are about to sign someone with a better track record than his . He made a lot more effort in the reserves on Tuesday , but who knows maybe he was aware that another club were watching him .

I agree with Shrimpled's comments about the big squad , but really don't see the point in running up a large wage bill ( and thereby eroding the Fredbread) if the players are not good enough at this level if called upon to step up , which by definition means that a) there is no real competition for places b) the 'first team' don't get a proper test in training each week .

Several of our younger players , including Liptak , would benefit from a spell out on loan somewhere , which will also give an opportunity for some of Ricky Duncan's lads to shine in the reserves .

If the stories about Hammell and Foran are true , we should be seen to crack down on them big time and spell out a message to all .It seemed like there was little discipline last year which may well have contributed to our downfall .

He also said that we need to take our chances and stop letting in sloppy goals at the back. I'm sure I've heard that before somewhere.

Did we give up the pursuit of the highly rated young centre back that played for a Cambrideshire side , (Witton ?) - or has some one else got him ? Richards makes me nervous

Please Tilly sell Matt Harrold.
I'd keep Paynter proven record in this division.
Hooper has done nothing really and dont think he is up to this standard.

Wouldnt cry if JCR got sold, maybe sign up Jarrett as a replacement?

If I recall they wanted silly money for a player who had not been tested in the league so we said no thanks or words to that effect.

I think it's the worst kept secret in the town that there's a bit of a drinking culture at the club. I've got absolutely no problem with it as long as it doesn;t intefere with Matches or Training, it's when that happens that it gets out of hand and needs to be clamped down upon.

paynter (unfortunately), hooper and ademeno on loan and im really worried about g-man... but the fact that rumours have been quiet recently may suggest that it's just paranoia.

striker to come in (maybe two)

i think outside of the top 4 there is probably a drinking culture in every club... and even then ive been out and all the chelsea boys have been out boozing away 3 days before a game. as long as it isn't out of control then i don't mind players having a bev, but the second it impacts on their performance (which it will if they have to train the next morning) then discipline should be dealt!
