Our playoff rivals will have to lose games too, which will decrease theirs in the process.

Still plenty to play for (although it’s definitely coming down to that Gateshead game, you just know it)

What a double-edged sword with the worst teams still to play us but many of them beyond desperate for the points. All makes for a stunning end to the season either way. Great that we’re still involved.

If we do make it through, it’ll be a miracle. But as someone said above, the lessons we can learn along the way will be invaluable.

Sadly, for me, while this team seems to be choc-full of decent blokes, it lacks the required talent, balance and heart. Even as an optimist, my gut says that even if we somehow scrape ourselves over the line into playoff contention, we’re simply not good enough or strong enough in character to make it through. We’ll pull it out of the bag on rare occasions but even Pep wouldn’t get a consistent tune out of this lot.
