Well it is just over the hill from Halifax…Over 1700 from Halifax there.
Doubt it. Only 20 miles.Their journey home will be a long one at this rate!
Probably down to around 900 after that first 15 minsOver 1700 from Halifax there.
Not the distance I am on about.Doubt it. Only 20 miles.
Or tomorrow. As we've seen this season anyone can beat anyone in this league. I think we will see next week if this is the case!
I'd leave now!.Their journey home will be a long one at this rate!
Should be a cracking game?.Depends on our result tomorrow night as to whether my support will be with Olham or York in the Semi-Final!
Or just as good, Rochdale start as well as Halifax. If only we can start half as well as Oldham tomorrow night.
don't get me wrong that's the dream scenario, in addition to us beating rochdale and the vegans. but i can't see york slipping up, they're gonna be so up for it. in an ideal near-future our boys will be spurred on by tens of thousands of shrimpers at wembley to get a shock result.Id fancy Oldham to win at York for some weird reason, York have been brilliant on their day but are prone to the odd slip up and it will be nearly 2 weeks since they last played, wouldnt shock me to see Oldham beat them
Anything's possible in the play-offs. If we don't go up, I'd prefer to be playing Oldham rather than York next season, based on York's performance this season.Id fancy Oldham to win at York for some weird reason, York have been brilliant on their day but are prone to the odd slip up and it will be nearly 2 weeks since they last played, wouldnt shock me to see Oldham beat them
i also find that quite condscending *you saying to the doubters iyou was right and i told you so *. So people had their own thoughts on the matter so what ,i was one of them and still will say the reason we made it was because off the falling off of some other teams . So Mr Know it all ,thats my perspective .I don't doubt that you want the club to do well.
I also don't doubt that a huge part of you is bursting at the seams to say "I told you so" if Maher fails, and would take great joy in doing so.
I did say that last week. Oldham are more than capable of beating anyone in this league, as are we. That's the nature of the league. I also said that any team can freeze, Halifax definitely did that. They were all over the place. There's absolutely no guarantee of anything in football. We finished a considerable amount of points above Crewe under Luggy and we lost in the playoffs against them.
This is the National League, any team, player or manager can lose their bottle. Finishing with so many points brings it's own pressures and expectations. It's not a given that the 'favourite' steps up to that. Anyone can lose their nerve and freeze in a one-off game.
Also, let's not discount Oldham or Halifax beating York first. Oldham in particular have players that can hurt teams. They are a big club, that will pack the York away end if they get there. It's not an absolute given that York will win.
