Two wins in a row being our most consistent run all season pretty much sums up the season. We’ve been fortunate the other teams have been poor so we’ve been able to move as close as we have. Not good enough up front and not good enough at the back! How many genuinely good performances over 90 mins have there been? 3 or 4 out of almost 40?
True the league table doesn’t lie inconsistency has cost us this season ☹️

Say what you like about Bridge but we seem to be a far worse side without him. Ralph’s contribution is also often underestimated by some on here.

I love coming on here in my morning and reading through the comments after a loss, very entertaining.
I think they're more entertaining after a win. I sometimes wish the pre match and match threads should be left open a bit longer to see if anyone is prepared to admit they were wrong.

Just listened to Parkinson of Altrincham interview after they broke their five game losing spell by drawing last night. Halfway through he goes on a rant about GSM & SUFC doing everything in their power to get Linney banned for 3 games. This to stop them scoring and causing a losing streak to do our best to nick their play off spot. Unbelievable sour grapes, get over it man. Still probably reeling from the postponed game last year after they had travelled down.
The Disciplinary Panel would have watched the video incident at real speed, and in slow motion, over and over again. So if they saw that the incident was nothing, and no further punishment was needed, we would have accepted that. Happy that they watched it over and over. It was obviously serious enough to warrant a 3 game ban. He should be having a go at Linney, for being so stupid, during a play-off place chase, end of season games.

When I add comments to a post match thread I only do so once I'm home. If I replied directly after the game I'm pretty sure my reaction would be slightly different!

We really need to beat Oldham and due to the 5.30pm kick off time we'll know what our rivals have achieved tomorrow afternoon.

Barnet v Gateshead. It's crucial for us that Barnet win this. They certainly should.

Ebbsfleet v Altrincham. Both teams are in dreadful form. We can't afford an Alty victory. A draw looks most likely.

Rochdale v Aldershot. The Shots are in better form than Rochdale so we can hope for a draw.

Tamworth v Eastleigh. Tamworth are surging up the table with a late burst of excellent form while Eastleigh are struggling. A draw would be ideal but a Tamworth victory looks much more likely.

If the above predictions come true AND we beat Oldham then we will sit in 7th place tomorrow night.

Dream on............

Just watched the Forest Green - Solihull Moors which was won 1-0 by the home side, hanging on at the end a touch with our own Harry coming on in the 81st minute, running around a lot but not enough time to influence the game.

For me that cements the top three, though I'm sure Oldham will not give up hope which, of course, adds to their danger this afternoon, while any lingering hopes the Midland based side have of the play offs are surely dead and buried.

IMO that's 3 out of 6 now for the play-offs, (Halifax to Tamworth, though they may have run out of games), but we'll all have a clearer picture around 19.30 this evening, which, and I hate writing it, we really need to get the 3 points!
