Oldham v Rochdale is at 1230 today. A draw might be the best result for us?

Alty v Aldershot. Aldershot are on a good run so let's hope they can win.

Gateshead v Maidenhead. Both teams in poor form. A draw maybe....?

Sutton v Halifax. Halifax likely to win.

FGR v Shrimpers. They haven't lost at home so a draw is probably the best that we can hope for.

Not that any of this really matters because we are too far adrift.

Or does it.......? :LoyalSupporter:
Not a bad set of predictions, though I say it myself.

Why? A draw at FGR was more than we could have expected and our rivals lost or drew so I reckon we're a tiny bit closer to the play offs tonight.
Not necessarily the results, but some glaring vulnerabilities on the pitch that are going to negatively affect our ability to secure those wins needed.

Still can't defend set pieces and it's cost us more points again today, as it's done far too often as of late.

Would love the lads to prove me wrong.

We did defend set pieces, free kicks and corners successfully, it wasnt all bad. To be slightly edging the team that are sharing the 3 top spots and have been running away with it all season, thats a massive improvement. I prefer to focus on the positives and give credit. If i had a grumble, it would be Hopper. Our wing back has scored 16 goals, thats nuts. We had more shots on target, off target and any other target you wanna name. Bloody heroes the lot of them, i actually feel very proud and am in the process of booking Eastleigh away to see the MIGHTY blues. Against all the odds, we're knocking on the door. What a time to be a Shrimper, lets do this !

Genuinely love the optimism mate and I hope you're right.

I will be doing more home and away during the run in regardless, having missed parts of this season thanks to various work and life commitments.

So, moving on to Tuesday night's matches....

Altrincham v Wealdstone. Should be a win for Alty, but Wealdstone's impressive 3-3 draw with Eastleigh today having been 0-3 down gives a glimmer of hope that they may earn a draw.

Gateshead v Braintree. Gateshead are in awful form whilst Braintree are inconsistent. A draw seems a reasonable prediction.

Halifax v Daggers. Nailed on certainty that Halifax will win this.

Rochdale v Boston. I think this will be a draw. Boston are in a fine run of form and looking like they might escape the relegation that has seemed a certainty all season. They are now unbeaten in five matches and have gained 14 points in their last seven.

Of our play off rivals it is Gateshead and Altrincham that we have to catch and overtake. Can my predictions be as accurate as those for today's matches?

Of course not.

Been thinking for a few weeks now that the play offs are just a stretch to far this season. We need other good sides to drop too many points while we win probably 7 of our remaining games, neither of which are likely to happen. Obviously I’ll keep hoping but I’m resigned to next season being our first serious opportunity to have a real go at this league. No embargo’s, everyone paid on time, some early changes to the squad in and out, a full pre-season for everyone, no excuses for anything less than top 3 or 4.

looking at the league ladder and not talkingabout the playoffs but if W/stone , Fylde and Boston win one of their games in hand Daggers and M/head would find themselves in the relegation positions, very interesting at that end off the ladder also
