Pitch watering

It relates due to the fact that Kev is the one that wants water on the pitch then is the one Discussing about the pitch

He wasn’t really Discussing or digging out the groundsman. It was something he said in his post match interview. And the pitch was bobbly. Perhaps he said it to shield the players, some of whom were struggling to control the ball?

Majority (if not all) decent standard professionals want a slick wet pitch that allows passes to be zipped across the surface.
The less friction when it touches the griund, the truer the accuracy and chance of bobbling on any turf imperfections and faster the ball can be moved around.
The passing and first touch standard on our pitch would be a lot worse without it watered.

Our pitch has been substandard for years.
100% it affects the quality of our football.
Problem being that I seem to remember that it would cost well in to 6 figures to get it sorted, and then a lot more to keep it maintained at that level.
Money I am not sure we have right now.

Hybird pitches are the way forward but cost an absolute fortune although we need major investment in the playing surface!

Would be good if the RH pitch replicated the quality of the new training ground main pitch.
Has the pitch been dug up yet?

I haven’t seen anything on the club’s media but they may have been busy with other things to document it.

One thing is for certain leaving it so late last year didn’t do the pitch any favours.

On X just before the final Justin put out the "Sing loud, wear blue, be proud!" showed the pitch in the background look decidedly scalped.
