Why this thread. Paul Sturrock was very likeable, but he is yesterdays man.Now manager of Yeovil and they are his baby.A stupid, stupid thread.

I think I agree with you....last time was slightly different as he'd literally just left and it was his team.

But it's now 2 years on....do we roll out all the other ex playing and backroom staff too? Anyone know if Michael Ricketts is on twitter?

Miserable buggers!

Have to agree, loved Luggy but his time has gone and so has his team apart from 2 or 3 of them. He got his 'thanks' moment at the JPT and he'll always be welcome at RH, but its PB's team now and we've moved on.

Paul Sturrock wanted to abolish the academy and lose the reserve side... Anyway, way too negative to what is a very exciting time at the moment.
It was buzzing in the club shiop earlier this afternoon...

Anyone know if PS will be there tomorrow?
Last time out at Green Man seeing him arrive and being escorted to Wembley was brilliant.
I for one will be thinking of him tomorrow whatever the result.
Great man treated shabbily by the club but not the supporters.
Anyone able to find out if he has been invited by club or fans?

Well, that went well Spoons, any other thoughts?

Go on then I'll bite.

In fairness when the club are doing well Tilson always gets pulled out of the cellar for comment. That equally gets on my nerves but at least he is out of work and not a threat. Luggy is a football league manager and not a sufc fan, so why would he be there? Or more importantly, us giving a monkey's if he is there or not?
If Plymouth was in the final he would support them.

On another Sir Chrissy Powell will be at Wembley tomorrow to cheers us on, as will Ryan Cresswell. Good to hear.

(especially in Sir Chrissy's case, my favourite ever Shrimper!)

Think they will be two of many, Juppy there as well apparently, plus loads of the wider SUFC family. Hope Britt's there tbh, he was so unlucky last time out! Personally, I don't give a fig if Sturrock is there or not.

Any former Shrimper is welcome in my book. #onceashrimperalwaysashrimper

If I were to bump into Chris Powell I would probably go full Wayne's World. :Worthy:

No he didnt, he was forced to because he joined at a time when we were bankrupt.

One thing Luggy is too much of a gentleman to do any 'mud slinging' so I wouldn't think there would be much scandal about his sacking etc.

I want to hear the dirt on Ryan Hall and Jemal Johnson. Why was one sacked and one not, despite being jailed for it? I want to hear what happened with Liam Dickinson and why he was put under curfew. Also, Tommy Widdrington really doesn't like Luggy - why? Also, can we have a whole chapter on Mohsni?

Hope its more accurate than the blurb

Having stabilised Swindon Town and taken Southend United to a Wembley play-off final, he returned to Plymouth for a sad swansong dominated by the club entering administration and Sturrock's own revelation that he was suffering from Parkinson's disease.

i think that's going to be a second book! As you know, Luggy had a great career and many other managerial appointments. I doubt whether his time at Southend will figure large...........but it should be a good read all the same.
