in the first round east thurrock and macc was live on tv it was early kickoff

No it wasn't. I was covering that game for radio. It was highlights on ITV only. Mick Conway was there for 30 second updates on Soccer Saturday, I was there for radio for this area, and there were local radio from Macclesfield. Those 3 sources, plus the odd BBC Essex report from a bloke sat in the corner of the stand away from the press box, was the only live coverage that day.

Anyone else thinking the clubs can sell tickets for £2 a pop as a TV windfall is coming their way ??

The prize of Liverpool ought to be enough to get the Northerners through the turnstile without having to price it so low surely, unless of course its on telly in which case they'd have to re-double their efforts to get a crowd in

Macclesfield v Chelmsford is the live game on ESPN on the Weds. So they can still have a match on the Tuesday - could it be us?

Games on TV are Yeovil vs Fleetwood on Tuesday 13th, and Macclesfield vs Chelmsford on Wednesday 14th.

UtS, I think the following from Macca's site seems to suggest that only one game is being shown that week, and that it was scheduled for the Wednesday by ESPN:

"The game will take place on either Tuesday 13th or Wednesday 14th December, depending on whether the match is selected for live TV coverage." (http://www.mtfc.co.uk/page/TicketNews/0,,10393~2537889,00.html)

Obviously it was posted prior to announcement that their game was to be on TV.

God, I just realised I looked up something on Macclesfield's web site about a fixture we're not playing in, just so I can speculate as to whether or not our replay, for the right to get trounced at Anfield, might be on TV. Help, I'm being sucked in, people!!!

EDIT:

Just been told we WONT be selected for TV Coverage.

But the ESPN schedule says FA Cup on Tuesday and Europa League on Wednesday .. obviously they won't move a European tie to the tuesday so you have to think the Tuesday live tie stays and the Wednesday game is a change

Hall confident of winning Oldham replay

RYAN Hall is confident Southend United can set up a trip to Liverpool by winning at Oldham Athletic next week.

This is silly, as much as i would be pleased for Chelmsford to be on TV, surely Oldham v Southend is the stand out game for a whole number of reasons. Depite City doing well saturday realistically they are not going to win up at Macc, where as we have evry chance to casue an upset and take on the scouse red noses!

Chris Barker was interviewed on BBC Essex this morning and IF we beat Oldham the Liverpool tie would earn the club a million, so lets hope that will encourage the club to help us help them by being there.
40,000 paying £25 each = £1m. So probably £400k from receipts alone. £1m from one game is pushing it.

Anyone know the actual date for the replay? I'll be going, I'm not too far away! Will be trying to persuade a few of the lads to join me..
