I'm failing to see why it is odds on that ours will be on the box. I'd have thought it the least likely game. Nobody other than Southend or Oldham fans care about the game, plenty of neutral interest in some of the others.

Been looking around to see where it states that being televised before prevents it happening again. Seriously people need to stop being so deluded. It is the least attractive game of the night

I doubt it actually states that, though I'd say it's very unlikely that it would happen apart from exceptional circumstances. Seriously people need to stop being so negative.

oh, and how can you say it's the least attractive fixture if you're a Shrimper?

True. Walsall vs Daggers is the definition of the phrase "mouth-watering".

Least attractive game for a neutral viewer. We need the money and I'd love to watch it - let's phone them up and tell them it is actually Oldham v Crawley

Potential shock if we win and the winners get Liverpool away cant see any reason why it wont be on, the rest of the games are ****!

in the first round east thurrock and macc was live on tv it was early kickoff

No it wasnt just because it kicked off early doesnt mean its was on TV. It kicked off at 2pm on Saturday so couldn't have been live on Tv anyway.

After that draw, it has extra spice as those that follow the top division will be interested in who is going to play Liverpool.

5 ties need replays and in every one of them the higher ranked side is at home second time of asking so nothing shouts out "shock" which is whats required for TV coverage, with that in mind i'd suggest the fact the winners get to go to Anfield might just tip it in our favour

cheap travel please - oldham

The club have done fantastic with offers this season for everyone.

However with Xmas around the corner and all these away games its costing a small fortune.

Mr Brady if you read this site please try and subsidise the cost as we need as many blues fans at Oldham.

If we win then not only have you made Southend fans happy with cheap travel but the club will have a very good sum of money coming to them.

I can see at present only 200 fans will go to Oldham due to costs but say 600 would go if it was £5/£10 travel or even free!!!

Trying to look at it from a neutral perspective, I think ours is the most interesting to be honest. Two clubs without a penny to scratch their arse's with playing for the right to play the mighty Liverpool at Anfield. Half a million pound pay day all that??

Just to clear one thing up, East Thurrock United vs Macclesfield Town in the First Round was not televised live; it kicked off at 2pm as The FA had concerns over the quality of the floodlights at Rookery Hill. It was, like the Silkmen's Second Round tie at Chelmsford, chosen for extended highlights.

In the last round, two replays were shown. If that's the case, I'd expect Macclesfield-Chelmsford to be one. The fact that the winners play away at Liverpool in a match unlikely to be televised may count in our favour, as might Fleetwood and Dagenham having been on TV in the competition already. Fleetwood would host Blackpool in Round Three; that could be a prospective TV game if they beat Yeovil; as they are the northern Crawley (without such an annoying boss!) I wouldn't be overly surprised to see their replay on the box.
