Breaking News OLDHAM game now ALL TICKET. No pay on the day - sales finish midnight Friday online

there's always queues outside the West ticket office even for dead rubbers, let alone for the first game of the season.
As others have said it's to reduce queues and maybe staffing issues.

No doubt purely a logistical decision but just imagine if it was a precautionary step prior to an announcement that sends us all into meltdown and any talk of boycott goes out the window! If only Carlesburg did opening games of the season 🙄

Add 3 to the attendance. My son (who was supposed to be playing cricket this Saturday) broke his finger keeping wicket last weekend and has been declared unavailable for this weekend by his personal physio (his mum).

Him and my younger son are both really keen to go. I told them I really wasn't interested, but they've talked me into it.

My eldest son has his eyes on a new home shirt, but I've told him I'm not buying any merch until Ron ****s off, although he's only 14, so I didn't word it quite so eloquently.

I think I need to get there early to pick up our new season tickets. Is anyone able to confirm that? I really can't be bothered ringing the ticket office to find out.
Yes you can collect on the day

Maybe they are looking to maximise £ in before Friday?
It could be that, especially if they are hoping to make signings and possibly even (I can’t believe I’m even bothering to say this - it’s a pipe dream!) clear the embargo then. Might ultimately mean a lesser attendance though unfortunately.

If you are collecting on the day then be prepared for queues. Got mine collected today but they can't find it so have issued me a ticket for the game to get in. Same with at least one other being collected. Not going to moan as staff need our support and it's a new system and expect teething problems but just highlighting it might be a slow process

Only sold 4000 tickets and the club now say it's all ticket

You really cannot make this up

Even Colchester fans must be laughing at us these day's

First home (league) game attendances at RH since August 2001...

Realistically, we are probably on for the lowest first home game attendance in the last 10-12 years. Somewhere between 2011-2012 I think. We've already beaten the lowest (Carlisle 2002) so that's a start.

Such a shame. It could of been the complete opposite. New owners in place would of seen us challenging some of the bigger gates I think.

Yes. Ron always favours a fiver in the pocket today over a tenner tomorrow

We're up to 4195 without the East Stand Blues freeloaders. In the circumstances I reckon that's a pretty decent gate considering the sh1tehousery of our Chairman. Come ko we should be nearing 4500, or even more.

Very strange decision, I regularly buy a ticket on the day and there's many hundreds of others who do the same. It's like the club doesn't like money? I can only assume it's down to staffing and they won't be be able to handle the demand.
Could be down to “Old Bill” don’t want too many turning up from up north causing bother - seems there’s enough bother along the seafront this week.

One of the few benefits of being non league you would have thought would be that you could just turn up to a half empty ground to watch a game.

Instead they won’t let you into a half empty ground unless you’ve bought a ticket the day before.

Remember they only went on sale yesterday. So not too band. Wonder where it will end up.
