OD - Week 2

Another one down, great spell from Plummer.

End of Over 30: 134-5, runrate=4.47, reqrunrate=4.70 (227-10)
Plummer 5-0-13-2
Worrall* 65 (93 balls)
Mason 0 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Conelly c. Askew b. Plummer 14 (FOW: 134/5)

I wasn't expecting miracles - I just hoped for more than out first ball.

Think it's pretty much all over now. My remaining 5 are all bowlers with no batting skills to speak of.

I paid as i only lost 1 wicket and Titterton, Raven and Tapp didnt bat!!

End of Over 50: 247-1, runrate=4.94
Mccrave 10-0-68-0
Lamb* 126 (161 balls)
Philip 99 (118 balls)

Last Wicket: Browne lbw b. Matthews 10 (FOW: 38/1)

I really should have got 300 against these guys!

They are....

End of Over 28: 139-2, runrate=4.96, reqrunrate=4.95 (247-1)
Titterton 4-0-11-0
Prest* 19 (34 balls)
Phindile 59 (70 balls)

Last Wicket: Blewett c. Browne b. Raven 51 (FOW: 88/2)

... with 5 dot balls in the next. Jackman and Guy's lack of form is hurting me early on.

Though given the general performance of my 7 to 9 since upgrading to 3 all rounders I'm once again starting to doubt the validity of batting deep anyway. Tempted to sell Saj, by a stock strong bowler to fill the middle overs and then crank up the batting.

I don't know if Fat-Boy's Woeful batting form is helping or hindering us, he hasn't got out, and is protecting the lower order, but it's bloody slow considering he's set to Attacking

End of Over 35: 143-3, runrate=4.09, reqrunrate=6.00 (232-7)
Sargeant 8-0-33-1
Middleton* 24 (32 balls)
Ricketts 47 (95 balls)

Last Wicket: Curle c. Neal b. Oneill 46 (FOW: 99/3)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

No such problems for Mrs BB at the moment

End of Over 35: 208-1, runrate=5.94, reqrunrate=4.87 (280-2)
Kearns 4-0-23-0
Potter* 75 (102 balls)
Stride 125 (107 balls)

Last Wicket: Hutton c. Crane b. Draper 1 (FOW: 9/1)

And that's the end of the match. GNH Jibbajabbers won by 225 runs.
GNH Jibbajabbers 385-1
Edale CC 160-10

COOL!

Ouch. Horribly outclassed. 88 all out, lost by 7 wickets. £7k per week bowler ripped through the top order. GFI too, next time against these I think I'll take the thrashing lightly. Only a 40 over match here though so fitness won't be too bad. Morale is in danger of taking a beating though, mustwin on Sunday and then play a side good enough to win Tuesday.

End of Over 38: 215-4, runrate=5.66, reqrunrate=10.08 (335-2)
Whaley 9-0-46-1
Renner* 1 (1 balls)
Von hoesslin 91 (108 balls)

this may have just swing in my favour, just got their main threat Bushell out he was 111 of 100 balls, and severely causing me concern the way is ramping up his run rate. Now just need to get Von hoesslin for a calmer last 10 overs

End of Over 38: 184-2, runrate=4.84, reqrunrate=5.33 (247-1)
Raven 9-1-43-1
Phindile* 76 (94 balls)
Prest 47 (70 balls)

Last Wicket: Blewett c. Browne b. Raven 51 (FOW: 88/2)

NEED WICKETS ... QUICKLY!

End of Over 38: 195-3, runrate=5.13, reqrunrate=7.92 (289-8)
Awan 9-0-29-1
Zibi* 8 (20 balls)
Glasby 110 (116 balls)
Last Wicket: Mapie b. Awan 56 (FOW: 176/3

great stuff from Awan

Think I'm going to lose this one, but we shall see

End of Over 40: 162-3, runrate=4.05, reqrunrate=7.10 (232-7)
Greene 10-0-49-0
Middleton* 34 (44 balls)
Ricketts 56 (113 balls)

Last Wicket: Curle c. Neal b. Oneill 46 (FOW: 99/3)

Edit - As expected

40.3 W Loxley to Blake
Well caught by Westall.
40.2 W Loxley to Ricketts
Ricketts nicked the one that pitched perfectly in the corridor, caught by Neal.
40.1 1 Loxley to Middleton
Cheeky single by the men in the middle. Middleton just dabbed the ball down and they stole one run.

End of Over 40: 162-3, runrate=4.05, reqrunrate=7.10 (232-7)
Greene 10-0-49-0
Middleton* 34 (44 balls)
Ricketts 56 (113 balls)

Last Wicket: Curle c. Neal b. Oneill 46 (FOW: 99/3)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

A walk in the park for Mrs BB

End of Over 40: 243-1, runrate=6.08, reqrunrate=3.80 (280-2)
Maguire 7-0-32-0
Potter* 83 (115 balls)
Stride 148 (124 balls)

Last Wicket: Hutton c. Crane b. Draper 1 (FOW: 9/1)

Crabbys are clinging on, just waiting for the end now.

End of Over 43: 179-8, runrate=4.16, reqrunrate=7.00 (227-10)
Cook 7-0-39-0
Lynch* 2 (3 balls)
Worrall 92 (128 balls)

Last Wicket: Brooks b. Plummer 14 (FOW: 177/8)

really ought to win this from here...

End of Over 41: 216-5, runrate=5.27, reqrunrate=8.22 (289-8)
Mackin 6-0-42-1
Glasby* 119 (123 balls)
Zulu 0 (0 balls)
Last Wicket: Cawood c. Rautenbach b. Mackin 2 (FOW: 216/5)

40.6 W Mackin to Cawood
Thick edge from Cawood and it's hit the man at slip on the leg! It's in the air, it must be. Yes, Rautenbach caught it! OUT!

neverends.

End of Over 42: 209-3, runrate=4.98, reqrunrate=4.87 (247-1)
Titterton 9-0-45-0
Shah* 6 (4 balls)
Phindile 86 (105 balls)

Last Wicket: Prest c. Tapp b. Jackman 56 (FOW: 201/3)

And now, the end is near....

I just love these last 10 over collapses

Last Wicket: Oconnor c. Neal b. Westall 2 (FOW: 173/9)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Crushing victory for Mrs BB

Pendle CC 232-7
BATTY SHRIMPERS 176-10

GET. IN. that's a really big win...

And that's the end of the match. Pettefershire CCC won by 36 runs.
Pettefershire CCC 289-8
Talaton Trotters 253-10
End of Over 48: 253-10, runrate=5.27
Harmison 9-0-40-3
Glasby* 136 (143 balls)

47.6 W Harmison to Mbata
Huge shout for LBW... and it's given! Replays are suggesting that was missing leg stump but the decision has gone Harmison's way!
47.5 W Harmison to Tonderai
Drives on the up...oh my goodness, he's hit it straight to mid off. Tonderai has just thrown his wicket away and doesn't he know it!
47.4 W Harmison to Ashieq
Well, that was poor calling there, he deserved to get himself out.

That was a little close! Guy hat-trick won me the game near the end, although Jackman tried to **** it up, but still ended up with 5 wickets. The other bloke must be sick after that. Upto the heady heights of 5th!
