Can't see us doing this somehow....

BATTY SHRIMPERS v Ashampstead

Ashampstead won the toss and elected to bat.
Pitch: Green

End of Over 40: 219-3, runrate=5.48, reqrunrate=13.20 (350-2)
Jefferson 10-0-53-1
Curle* 49 (57 balls)
Blake 2 (10 balls)

Last Wicket: Evelyn c. Wilkes b. Jefferson 112 (FOW: 208/3)

From 213-1, the battrick collapse works it magic and I win by 40 runs, although they were always behind the asking rate and needed 8 an over for the last 10 overs.

Just seen that they were top and the team in third looks like losing, so it looks like I'm the only one left with a 100% record in my OD league.

And that's the end of the match. Southend won by 8 wickets.

Red Roses 266-6
Southend 267-2

End of Over 47: 267-2, runrate=5.68
Symon 8-0-55-0
Davenport* 65 (60 balls)
Granville 17 (11 balls

Excellent result. Delighted to have won 2 out of 3, with the defeat being against the best side in the league. 2 wins this week with 3 home matches coming up should mean good gates too.

And that's the end of the match. Ashampstead won by 68 runs.
Ashampstead 350-2
BATTY SHRIMPERS 282-10

Not good, 1 win out of the 1st 3 leaves us right up against it.

Worry not, chances of me being home to bid at deadline are remote. Which Heather is it? The guy has listed two with the same surname at the same time!

A heartbreaking 7 run defeat for me after collapsing from 223 for 1 to 257 for 9. I was never concerned about being behind rr and 80 from 10 overs has been easily overcome enough times before. Edged ever closer until the collapse in the last two overs with 5 wickets going. Plenty of plusses here. Opps played strongest line up with 3 20K plus bowlers and I saw them off succesfully until the collapse. Top 3 all made half centuries with a trainee hitting 120 plus. Bowling line up was almost spot on - probably 1 selection mistake but I'll live and learn.

That to me shows the improvements from last season. Last season they had a weaker line up against me but today's team would have bowled me out for much less and sent me scurrying around the pitch.

NRR virtually unaffected and another tough game next week but at home will guage whether top 4 or 5th spot is where I'm likely to finish.

EDIT - I've got zero chance of winning next week unless my oppo underestimates me and puts out a weak team. I'll try to push them as close as possible for NRR purposes
