OD - Match 4

BILLERICAY BLUE

Rose Tinted Brigade Member⭐⭐🦐
At home to one of the sides that has one both of his games, although he has played 2 of the poorer teams. Everybody's Energetic or above with the exception of Middleton, who gets a rest before Sunday's Cup game. I'm going to TIE, hopefully should have enough to turn them over.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mrs BB is at full-strength with everybody at Sublime, so she's GFI against the team that came down from III.

I'm GFI against one of the bottom half sides - GFI against all of these as I need to win them to get 5th/6th place. Need to win the toss, as I'm away on their green pitch in favourable bowling conditions, and with their middle order being pants compared to the top 4 early wickets with the new ball will be key.

Could probably win on PAN today, but don't want to risk it, and can afford to do it after a full-points FC win in the week.

monkey spunk mopeds v ShrimperZone CC

Very good team but they are struggling fitness wise as much as I am. Hot Rod is down to lively so he gets a rest but it means I'm playing Plums at lively and Saj, Cooky & Richie at inviigorated. Easy cup game on Sunday so I can rest them then.

Hard & Fast pitch which is a bummer, may look to bat first for once as my lot tend to collapse early on a big chase!

against a Level XI bot so I'm TIE and should have it nice and easy, which is a blessed relief from getting spanked in FC.

Have no cup game so the squad have nice rest before next FC fixture.

Liverpool Vikings v Southend United

Green pitch and is partially cloudy and humid, I would like to bowl, they have two ex U19 internationals, one of which is Peter Lampard.

I've got a bot that came up from VI fortunately, so resting a few players and giving 2 debuts- one to a trainee (Barnes) one to a fill-in seamer i picked up (Dugdale). should be a comfortable win.

Didn't check the pitch this morning, and typically it's changed to hard and fast. Bugger. Still bowling first too.

BATTY SHRIMPERS v Ashampstead

We can tell you that Ashampstead won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking a touch on the green side. All the seam bowlers have been out there rubbing their hands on this sunny day.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nineone ACC v DIBS DIPPERS

We can tell you that DIBS DIPPERS won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a bit on the dry side. A fair bit of help for the spinners I think on this sunny day.

not a bad first over for Jonesy, hat-trick in balls 2-4 :)

End of Over 2: 4-3, runrate=2.00
Jones 1-0-1-3
Wrack* 4 (6 balls)
Sagren 0 (2 balls)
Last Wicket: Austin c. Nico b. Jones 0 (FOW: 4/3)

One down!

End of Over 3: 11-1, runrate=3.67
Lever 2-0-10-1
Robbins* 11 (14 balls)
Carlisle 0 (0 balls)
Last Wicket: Mccready lbw b. Lever 0 (FOW: 11/1)
2.6 W Lever to Mccready
Absolutely plumb! By the time the bowler looked back to the umpire, the finger was already up.

The lesser batsman of the top 4, but at quality/remarkable he's not shabby so dismissing him early is a good wicket. Another one please!

it's a bad start. hoping jeffers can stay in now

End of Over 3: 9-2, runrate=3.00
Summerfield 2-1-1-2
Murray* 2 (7 balls)
Jefferson 0 (2 balls)

Last Wicket: Sutherland c. Khotso b. Summerfield 0 (FOW: 9/2)

Tough start, runs not flowing and Saj out already.

End of Over 6: 17-1, runrate=2.83
Clist 3-0-10-0
Cunningham* 8 (16 balls)
Cook 7 (14 balls)

Last Wicket: Sajjad b. Rhodes 2 (FOW: 2/1)

Solid start and hope to take a few more wickets early doors

End of Over 8: Barnard Castle CC 31-2, runrate=3.88
Hallett 4-0-11-0
Bartle* 17 (19 balls)
Chohan 1 (7 balls)

Last Wicket: Rawle c & b. Way 6 (FOW: 28/2)

Glad we're batting deep today! Cooky & Saj were knackered anyway, important thing is that Richie stays in and people stay there with him.

End of Over 9: 25-2, runrate=2.78
Rhodes 5-0-13-1
Askew* 2 (6 balls)
Cunningham 11 (21 balls)

Last Wicket: Cook c. Khan b. Clist 10 (FOW: 21/2)

Jones wreaking havoc

End of Over 10: 36-6, runrate=3.60
Jones 5-0-12-6
Westwood* 1 (1 balls)
Sagren 9 (25 balls)
Last Wicket: Barr c. Scholes b. Jones 0 (FOW: 35/6)

I looked at their past fixtures and Lampard hasn't featured, but he's playing today. I need to make more from their bowlers, and whilst typing my openers have gone...

End of Over 10: 46-2, runrate=4.60
East 5-0-22-1
Drury* 0 (0 balls)
Barnett 2 (3 balls)

Last Wicket: Bartlett c. Gittens b. East 20 (FOW: 44/2)

Getting absolutely spanked. Curle going for 41 off of his opening 5 overs. Looks like I shouldn't have TIE'd.

Edit - getting spanked some more. 16 off of the next over :(
BATTY SHRIMPERS v Ashampstead

Ashampstead won the toss and elected to bat.
Pitch: Green

End of Over 11: 72-0, runrate=6.55
Schoeman 6-0-31-0
Wilkes* 41 (36 balls)
Penford 30 (30 balls)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Great start for Mrs BB though

Nineone ACC v DIBS DIPPERS

DIBS DIPPERS won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Dusty

End of Over 11: 31-3, runrate=2.82
Mohammed 6-1-12-2
Denham* 12 (27 balls)
Beck 11 (13 balls)

Last Wicket: Duffy b. Mohammed 4 (FOW: 7/3)

More like it,

End of Over 12: 72-2, runrate=6.00
Draheem 1-0-16-0
Drury* 12 (7 balls)
Barnett 16 (8 balls)

Last Wicket: Bartlett c. Gittens b. East 20 (FOW: 44/2)

11.6 6 Draheem to Barnett
Well timed shot, straight out of the ground!
11.5 1 Draheem to Drury
Drury didn't know where that went but the non-striker called him through for a cheeky single as the ball trickled along the crease towards square leg.
11.4 2 Draheem to Drury
A glorious cover drive by Drury which bisects the fieldsmen, although a tidy bit of fielding by East stops a boundary and limits the batsmen to two.
11.3 1 Draheem to Barnett
Played off the toes to deep square leg.
11.2 6 Draheem to Barnett
Oh my! That's a really really good shot - wish I could do that!
11.1 . Draheem to Barnett
Flicked around to a diving fine leg fielder.
