Maybe it's not as bad as we think, perhaps it was just a big training ground bust up? & Nile intentionally tried to injure another player? some believe Phil doesn't have a high tolerance level for other players that upset the team balance (unless he does it of course).

It depends if/when he failed a test but for social drugs like cannabis/cocaine/ecstasy it could be a few months up to a few years.

See the cases of Baxter, Livermore and McCarey for recent examples.

For actual doping even Ranger doesn't strike me as that stupid, because there probably aren't drugs on the market yet that you can take that improve the passes from your midfield.

No, you said "if" he failed a test he would be out for at least two seasons. Ithat is an inaccurate statement as their are too many variables- a ban of that length is possible but so are much much shorter bans including no ban at all.

Yes I was jumping the gun ,yes I don't know what he has done,yes I don't know if he will be banned or not.

What I do know is...he isn't available for today which suggests to me it's pretty serious whatever he has done.

How many players are there in the 4 divisions ....3000 or thereabouts......dream job for every football player and fan.

If any player wants to throw it all away for whatever reason ,that is their choice....but you won't get any sympathy from me.

I think the fella is a bit of a walking disaster and generally is easily influenced, especially when he's not in favour.

However, until we know the full facts, the club are handling it right and keeping their options open.

It's a tough call, as football is one of the least moral businesses around. For every player chastised for their off-field activities and banised from the game, there's a Luke McCormick keeping goal.

I've kind of grown to like Nile. Mainly because he genuinely feels humbled that we've given him a chance and he really seems to be part of the club and has found some stability in what appears to be a turbulent life.

I'm hoping it can be resolved, for everyone's sake, including his.

Bazza as far as I know is the ultimate model professional footballer....fantastic role model for youngsters....gave 100% every game he played....never committed serious crime.....no contest whatsoever.


He does have my sympathy as he hasn't done anything wrong apart from speaking out,he spoke the truth IMO.

He's (probably - 12points from 17 games) -saved us from relegation.

That's a tad pessimistic,isn't it? After all we could be back in the top 6 if we win against Rochdale.
