I'll reserve judgement until finding out what the facts are. It will be very disappointing if he's done something that has ruined this chance at getting his life turned around.

I'm quite encouraged by that statement.

It certainly doesn't sound like the issue is insurmountable and reading between the lines, I think the club would like to resolve this without the need for contract termination.

It does seem considerably less dramatic in tone than much of the hyperbole on twitter and elsewhere. Which is why I reserve judgement.

Can't get good comedy like Trump these days. Plus I should make out like a bandit if he does what he says. Right up until the bomb drops

Innocent..............until proved guilty, or f**ked up.........................Lone Ranger, Ranger.....naively perhaps , I have faith

I believe I predicted a failed drugs test a few weeks ago Be interesting to see.

if that was the case he would not have played last Saturday

Could be an allegation made by a 3rd party which is currently unsubstantiated - meaning the club are investigating it? Judging by the vitriol he gets on twitter it it could be someone with a grudge, seems a bit fishy if you ask me...

I'm not encouraging speculation about this, more of a general question about doping tests within football generally?

When footballers are picked for the random doping tests, are the samples sent off to some sort of lab to check for other drugs (such as steriods etc, like in the Olympics?) which could take a week or so for the results? or is it more of a police test thing (like the alcohol / drug breathaliser) which gives pretty much instance results?

Also are they still informed of a test in advance? Just got me thinking about a certain Mr Ferdinand (not our lad) that was banned playing for 8 months & fined £50,000 for failing to supply a sample on an agreed date, due to he was moving home?

For those that don't remember it:

I have two questions:

Where was Nile living when he first signed?

Where is he living now?

I remember hearing on here that he had been put up in digs somewhere locally which was probably a very good idea. If this was the case (and if not, why not?) is it still the case now? And again, if not why not? It's pretty obviious the key to helping Nile keep himself on the straight and narrow is to ensure he has enough support and self-confidence not to go back to his north London teenage friends and their connections who can easily lead him in the wrong direction. He might give off the impression of a super-confident young man with his bluster, tattoos, etc - but this kind of thing is often a veneer for serious underlying self-esteem issues that require an outward facade to hide behind.

No Idea where he was living when he signed in August, Perhaps the usual suspects of the Rosyln etc...but he defo had his own place in Southend from early / mid November, as it was stated in a news article.

What's the big deal with his address? Is it really nessesary to put his road, house number and council tax band into the public domain. Regardless of what he has supposedly done he is entitled to some privicey.

I agree, but I see the poster's point...If he's supposed to be keeping on the straight and narrow and away from bad influences then allowing him to be based in his old "manor" is hardly going to help.

Maybe Phil said Nile's defending for their first two goals on Saturday was criminal and Ron has got the wrong end of the stick!

On the other hand as my son says "you can take the boy out of Wood Green but..............."

His address at court was stated as being in Bounds Green (north London) which surprised me.
Blimey - the posh bit of Wood Green! Used to work a stones throw from Bounds Green tube station (when they were filming the second series of Spaced round there funnily enough), pretty sleepy in that neck of the woods.

it's to avoid mistaken identity.

His instagram is a bit tasty. And if you look closely you can see his address on his satnav in his last pic. Bit of a contrast with John White's dull instagram.

Really? Big railway depot at Bounds Green - rough as a badgers arse, and I've lived in Hackney (before it was dripping with cool).
