Do I smell some large Bro-mance going on?

Jokes aside he was rated by Neil Redfern on C5 Goal Rush as "likely the best striker outside of the premiership".

Hmmn he's good, but I don't know about that - there's a guy called Messi that's not bad...maybe Ranger is top 3 outside the Premiership but not quite the best.

I think he was one of the players looking after the mascots on Saturday.

He really seems to be noticeably enjoying his football and being around the club.

Respect to PB, Ron and the backroom staff and the other players, of course, for appearing to be turning him around and getting the best out of him.

Just following that last post up.

On Nile's Twitter, there's a short video when the players come out with the mascots and a thank you tweet, as well.

btw, Ignore all the t**ts posting above it about Neil Redfearn's comments.

Guess they are just jealous!

Yep that was my boy, Ive written a letter to the club passing on my thanks to Nile and the way he looked out for Oscar on Saturday. what ever bad press and publicity, and also for what ever mistakes he makes and has made, I take people as I find them, he was an absolute gent on Saturday and Osc couldn't believe his luck getting to walk out with Nile

Wow, post of the day, that.

Great stuff and glad he enjoyed his day.

Certainly looks like he did on the video!:thumbsup::cool:

I have been a critic of Ranger the man - not Ranger the player - in the past.
He currently appears to be giving that PROFESSIONAL footballer malarkey - a really good go. Good for him.
Long may it continue!

A great day all round, and for the money with what's included, a really great treat and present! All Power to the Club and to the Boys who represent us

I predict Ranger will be off come January as long as he shows that he has grown up as a man. His playing ability has never been in question.

I don't. I'm told he loves it at Southend. He loves the way the club has stuck by him. He likes the way Phil Brown deals with him, different from any other manager he has played for. Yes, long term he will be looking to play in the Championship, whether with Southend or not, but it sounds like he's staying for now to at least repay the club, Manager, Chairman, players and fans for sticking by him. I think he will see out the contract.

I hope we have something in place to look after him in the close season, without the regular football, the training etc, it may be an easier time for to get distracted and misbehave.

I know a grown man should be capable of looking after himself, but we each have our weaknesses and are better with the support of others, besides, and we're going to need him in the Championship next season.

Yes - what he says above.

I hope I'm right in saying that his recent misplaced judgement which lead to the FA suspension may be the making of Ranger. Since then he seems to shown huge determination on the pitch, and I still don't think we've seen the best of him yet.

PB must take a lot of the credit for rescuing Ranger from possible self destruction, and creating such an incredible team spirit.

I can't remember being this excited about watching the blues for a very long time.

I kind of fell away from football for a few years, and only went to RH around 15 or so times in a lean 4 year period, last season and this season I have only missed 3 or 4 home games and have already been to 10 away trips, got my Charlton ticket and the rest of the homes. Shrewsbury is also a possibility - the OCD traits are definitely kicking in!

Need to get a season ticket as this year has cost me a fortune.

Someone comes in with big money then he's gone - love for the club or not.

Indeed - it could be Ron and Browny sat opposite Nile at a table saying "Thanks for everything Nile but the money on offer from Club X is too much for us to turn down and it is in the interests of the club for you to agree personal terms and take up this opportunity."

Very very true, a lump of cash for the fee and a 3 year contract that puts Nile back to the finances he enjoyed 5 years ago and no person other than us fans would be upset.
Could there be clauses in the contract awaiting triggering?
He may have the same after "love" that Stan talks about regards his time at The Hall but that would be that.
What next for PB? try and replace Nile with JET and do his management thing again with another errant striker?
