Totally unfair. There are plenty of posters who are a pain in the arse who dont get banned. Regardless of liking him or not, he did start some good debating threads. The one about african drivers in Grays was a classic.

Like i said.....I did not like the guy or agree with his views and what with me having no patients at all, i put him on ignore as he was very good at pushing my buttons. Thought that would be better than getting in to a meaningless argument.

Just so as to avoid further speculation, I for one haven't been on the board this evening and I know a couple of the other owners/mods haven't either. There was a specific reason for the actions taken with regard to GB and the actions were taken in good faith.

I'm sure one or other of us will comment fully tomorrow morning and the board will live on until then despite the drama and suspense.

i would have thought if his ban was collective by you guys then any reply would have clarified the situation because you all would have known the reasons for lifetime ban

seems funny it has taken so long to find any answers

The main thing that grinds me in relation with this is that when he was here certain people couldn't relate to him simply because he was from a different walk of life and really,i was suprised with that.

Oh and he obviously fell out with Einstein,who being a moderator,never helps your cause.But while Graysblue WAS certainly provoking,he was never abusive though others were to him.I think it was his failure to articulate himself correctly that led to his downfall....and that is wrong in my eyes because we are then saying to everyone that only the educated and articulate will ever reign on this board.

I hope he comes back,i pray he comes back and i wish people were alot more forgiving in their understanding of others.
Graysblue always spoke of the feeling on the street and what others will tell him down the local and just because he couldn't produce a fancy chart or quote some Govt dept bullsh!t to back up his claims he often got slated.Which is fine if you don't want to gauge the feelings of his ilk,but in my opinion most of the time you couldn't argue with those feelings,i know Grays very well and i know the people there and i know that they are very different to those from say Southend.

There are views which people will give publicly and there are views which are held privately and Graysblue was always open with his views and i admire people like him who are not afraid to show thier privately held views knowing that it does provoke response in particular from those in a different walk of life.

The only time i ever saw him being abusive was when someone on here mentioned his family in a jokey way and he became aggresive and defending instantly and would stand for none of it.Which is typical of someone from Grays i can tell you.


Anyway,i'm not gonna start giving out pm's to the mods or start a group up to support his inclusion back to this board but i will back up Rusty's post,would be great to have him back as the pub section just ain't the same without Graysblue tugging and prodding those often sensitive issues of life in our society and it's always interesting to get his take on things.

Come on, be fair, if only one was on at the time, then you can't honestly expect him to speak on behalf of all the others? SBH has said you WILL get an explanation, so I suggest you wait to see what is said.

For the record, I back Rusty and Shrimp and Two Veg, my belief is that GB's style of writing was also inflammatory to a number of people, not just the content, and there are plenty of others on here who post equally inflammatory stuff...although maybe not in the same quantity. There are also those that quite clearly set out to inflame GB. Live and let live, and all that - ignore, don't comment, don't rep them.

And just to clarify, the Right Wing Group is a social group much the same as many others on here.

Yep that was i,the upsetter of the graysblue,others saw the joke for what it was just a pure and simple joke,not a dig at him or his family but a joke.
He did blow up and after a few pms calmed down,he is from a different walk of life not a million miles from my own but we agreed to sort it out in our own way.
I loved the way he made certain poster react(or over react even) and at times he showed he was way bigger then the clique that isnt a clique.He posted a lot of crap but so do i and many others on here,the fact we all support southend is just not enough,we are all different and long may we be so.
PLEASE LIFT THE BAN,just so super dave can put him on ignore again.
