Southend has always been a club that haemorrhaged money. Martin is only different in that we have increased debt to get the stadium.

He does at least care about the club - Why else would he put his house up for mortgage again?

Ron will have some thinking to do. At the moment mid table beckons. Either he lets Brown get some badly needed new blood in or he gets rid and brings in someone like Martin Allen.
