Please post your reports, comments and ratings on our great victory over the Chuckles Brothers' favourite team. "To you" ---- "yep, all three points thanks"

Glad Blair scored, also sounds like he put in a good performance as well. Just hope we dont find our self with another player we can only play away because some "fans" don't like him and feel it is fair and right to boo all he does or tries at home !!

Great result though boys.

UTB's !!

Great away result, not for the first time this season. Shame we're **** at home.
A few tweaks by Sturrock, and a bit of luck, and this season is not over - despite the negativity elsewhere on these forums.

Just got home!

Really good performance today, although the wind played a big part as predicted and Rotherham were pretty poor. For some reason the Millers decided to switch ends at KO, which really played into our hands as we peppered their box with crosses. The first cross, 30 seconds in was delivered by Clohessy and an unmarked Hall was left to volley in from 6 yards. Shortly after, the excellent Hall put a perfect corner in and Sturrock was unmarked to nod the ball in. We continued to have the best play in the first half, with Rotherham rarely threatening and Morris looking assured in goal. Coughlan looped a header over Morris which fortunately rolled wide, but otherwise we looked comfortable without dropping the tempo. We said that we'd need to score the next goal, because in the 2nd half we'd have the wind against us. Unfortunately Soares wasn't able to convert a reasonable chance.

In the second half, the Millers woke up a little and scrambled a goal into the net from a corner. We defended well as they looked to push forward, and Grant played on the left to nullify their dangerous no.2 and Ferdinand came into the middle for Soares. We worked hard and defended well, until the final 5 mins which saw us under quite a lot of pressure. However we were very good value for the win, and the performance was impressive.

Ratings:
Morris - 8 - Assured with everything in the air, and got down well to some decent shots.
Clohessy - 8 - Defended well, and superb cross for Halls goal
Cloughlan - 7 - Battled hard, dominant in the air
Barker - 7 - Formed a good partnership with Cloughlan which dominated the quiet Le Fondre
Gilbert - 7 - A solid game and defended well in the box, but as usual did not offer anything going forward
Hall - 9 - MOTM. Sensational game from Hall, he linked up really well and his crossing was excellent. Took his goal really well and worked hard for 90 mins. More performances like this please!
Grant - 7 - a disciplined match from Grant, worked well to win the ball and was assured in possession.
Easton - 7 - perhaps slightly quiet, but was in the right place when we were defending
Soares - 6 - touch just wasn't good enough, had little impact on the game and he missed his half chance in the 1st half
Sturrock - 8 - worked hard, brought people into the game and took his goal well
Corr - 6.5 - didn't really come off for him today, but he worked hard and the Millers defence felt his presence. Stupid yellow for kicking the ball away loses him half a point.

Ref - 6 - perhaps a slight homer, as they made a couple of very late tackles which didn't see a booking.
Crowd - 8 - put the poor home support to shame.

In which case lets hope his board sack him- how could he let it happen.
I will pop onto the boards and suggest they start a campaign perhaps...but then again I can't be bothered

Ronnie Moore, what a ****. "We've lost to one of the poorest teams in the division."

maybe he meant financially?!

to be fair, Rotherham's league position is very misleading... if they didn't have le Fondre then I'm sure they'd be in the bottom half, their defence is fragile and midfield wasn't great.

southend played **** today rotheram were all over us tbh we deserved to lose
blair sturrock is complete **** and only plays coz his dad is manager

I was sorry to see that Barry Corr received a yellow card: That was his fifth of the season and means he will have to sit the next game out.
Who will play in his place? Paterson, perhaps or maybe Harry Crawford will get a start.

:hilarious: I'm going to bookmark this post and if ever I feel depressed I'll look it up for a chuckle.

TBH I don't give a flying one if we've won playing *****, we've lost on plenty of times when we've played well.

I believe you are wrong as all those with less than 5 before the turn of the year get scrapped.
