Mildenhall causes Wiggy quit shocker!

If a keeper can't catch in a dolly drop warm up then what chance has he got in a game. The first goal you'd have been screaming if Flavs had let that in and Mildenhall is 6ft 4 and got nowhere near it. Anyway keeper aside this team is shaping up to be the worst for years, no Mulgrew as well!

If the squad doesnt change at all by the start of the season proper, then I will agree with you but until then, it is a "work in progress" as far as I am concerned

After watching our new goalkeeper perform tonight i think it is time to resign from the zone. Don't want to get into any slanging matches Flavs/Collis is better than him etc but having watched him in the warm up with Lee Turner for about 40 mins i have got to say he has got the worst handling i have seen for a long time. This includes greats like Capleton,Robinson, Gay, and Cumbersome. Lee was firing in standard shots at him but he was unable to catch anything cleanly. It got embarrising in the end and i don't think Lee knew where to look, in fact you'd have thought that Joyce was the no.1
On to the match and it got no better, three very dodgy spillages, one bottled high ball which led to the goal and plenty of mouth insinuating it was everyone elses fault. Don't condone the Flavs chants but this looks to be another major **** up of Revell proportions. Anyway you have got ya tall keeper just a shame he can't catch and looked dodgy in the air, new he'd been around the lower leagues for a reason but this was ridiculous!

Early days but have to agree with Wiggy on this one. I have never mentioned anything about Mildenhall, either negative or positive, but even my 10 year old looked at me and said 'who the hell is that in goal'....... After that performance, the defence will have zero confidence in the man behind them, which is a massive worry. Again, early days but expected better. (Did anyone notice how he didn't even attempt a dive when the 2nd goal went in)??

I bet he is replaced as our Nr 1 well before the season is over.

HB, with you totally on this. But you know as well as I do that the one trick pony that is Wagpuss hasn't given up at all, despite his/her/it's promises, so I for one won't be getting my hopes up.

I felt Mildenhall made a mistake for the 1st goal, but that 1 thing doesn't make him the worst player I've ever seen.

It's my belief that Waggy should follow his/her/it's hero to Crypton Pally Arse & start having a go at Julian Speroni until Shorty gets a game there.

As everyone on here keeps reminding us, these are only friendly games so is a little bit early to start making a full judgement of him. Wait until we've seen him in a few league game and see how he does?

I half agree with you, the fact remains though that in order to stop the ridiculuous amount of goals we conceded from set-pieces we needed to change BOTH not just one.

It's a real shame we let Richards go, I liked him.

If it had been Mildenhall in goal, I feel that it would have been a very different sum up!

Wiggy leaving shrimper zone, disappointing. Not as disappointing as us not signing Mulgrew...........but disappointing nevertheless. We shall miss Wiggy's audacious comments in the same way as we will miss Mulgrew's, sometimes, audacious free kicks. However, as is the way of the world, I suppose that in the fullness of time...........both will be replaced.

Too right Einstein. Nowhere near as good as Darryl on crosses as that clanger showed. Shorty would never have dropped that! He'd have been cowering rooted to his line, but he'd never have spilled it! ;)
