We love you guys.

You saved our club and we are grateful.

But let's be honest we are the best supported club in the division but if you honestly think that we will be getting anymore than 5k through the gate next season on current showing you are deluded.

Something has to change.

Whether that's the management or the budget or both but this simply isn't good enough.

We have a new screen, better catering and beers but the quality on the pitch is the worst in my 30+ years supporting the club.

Imho opinion the management need changing. Kev is a southend legend and will always be a southend legend, but this has been dire.

A club the size of southend should never be floundering in mid table in the national league.

The football on show is not entertaining and doesn't yield results.

Enough is enough.
 
Like everyone I hoped Maher and management team were a success but it simply isn’t good enough under them and has not for some time. Pleased COSU haven’t given them a bigger budget to spend now. I feel it would be poorly spent so much rather they don’t and we give the next manager those funds. Have proven they are unable to make us consistently competitive. John Still is another who needs putting out to pasture ASAP, has contributed very little and not what we need moving forward. Recruitment, with a very few exceptions has been absolutely dreadful for several years since all involved.
Stay up and then wave goodbye. Time for a thorough clear out in summer under a new fresh manager

To what end though?

Surely if your plan is to make a change then its better to do it now than later.

My personal choice would be Harris and Barrett until the end of the season. At least the team would show some endeavour in the final third and have a crack.

Lose away daggers and things will start to get toxic. They were toxic in the west today. Fans are starting to turn on each other..

I can't see harris being that interested. Harris would want top 3 budget which COSU either won't give or they haven't got much wealth behind them to want provide manager like him. Harris wouldn't accept what Maher budget is that's for sure.

I have and it was much better than what I've seen for a huge majority under Kev. I'm not even suggesting I want Harris in but come on there is a massive gulf in managing Millwall to perform in the Championship than Southend in NL.

It will be better but let's be honest that isn't saying a lot!
 
Am I the only 1 who hasn't been that impressed by COSU so far. Yes I'm greatful to them for saving the club but since the takeover they underwhelmed imo. Lack of investment in the playing squad despite massive fan backing of average attendance of 7k week in the National League considering the price of season ticket is £400, given that backing surely you would look to build on those foundations and make the club competive top 7 national league club with the aim to get back in the EFL as soon as possible. They give the impression there quite happy with mid table mediocrity if they can guarantee 7k fans turn up at home games each week for there so called sustainability model to work in the medium to long term without spending any money, as a club we should be aiming higher than that. I'm not going to be overly critical on COSU as it's still early days but currently I'm not that impressed.
