When was the last time we ****ed a pen in open play? I'm sure it was at least 3 seasons ago before the Tilson era.

Hmmm I'm not sure how anyone can **** a pen in open play but the last time we missed a pen was actually against tomorrow's opponents in the game at Brisbane Road where Bramble & Broughton both scored own goals. Tilly was the manager and it was the game after we'd won the LDV Southern Section against Col U.

I counted last season and I think we're up to 28 or 29 successful penalties in a row now.

Are you his good looking girlfriend? Did you go to Crawley? This will be my most accurate early assesment of a crap player since Carl "hands like dinner plates" Cumbersome. You all said " give him time you negative excellent judge of a player" then..... the rest is history. Forgot about Gutts as well, rose tinted Tilly lovers even wanted to give that waste of space time as well, sorry no time for amateurs in the team this year so call it early, Harrold bench at best and not happy with that!

The point was never that certain players have scored it was that we, as a team, had scored. I don't believe we've scored 27 competative penalties in a row by coincidence. I think we've scored 27 competative penalties through hard work and good ability.

Forgive me if I'm wrong but I believe the consensus of 90% of the Southend support and the vast majority online was that Cumbersome was a poor signing at the time. It didn't exactly take the insight of Steven Hawkings to work that one out, seeing that his movement resembled that of him anyway.

The constant criticism from one certain poster, although fully entitled to a view, is at best tiresome and at worst complete rubbish. Continually pointing out individual's shortcomings without mentioning any positives, whilst doing the complete opposite for the few that are liked, indicates that someone has (i) no considered view of the individual concerned and/or (ii) are looking to just seek some sort of attention.

The ongoing criticism of the management has been no more constructive either. It appears to be just just cheap little jibes as opposed to having taken in the way the team play, where players are positioned, results, etc, which could then be used to back up an opinion. It's an obvious example of someone who has never coached any team at any level in their life.

Resorting thereafter to just banal insults at fellow posters because their views differ simply reflect more on the poster writing them than their intended target. Whilst I would never, of course, descend to such levels, there is an obvious whiff of 'pub bore' about it.

Anyway, enough of Cricko, this Wiggy character ..... ;)
