Why bears defecate on Catholics?

Oh wrong analogies.

Anyhoo, either Mark's desperate for attention, or the journo (obviously being fed info from the consortium), needs to fill space.

I did make a comment, but quickly edited out the libellous stuff about Anton Johnson etc etc.

"Top 15 wealthiest clubs in the league"?

They've spoken to Rayleigh Boy, too... He informed them of our £5million credit facility that can be spent on whatever we(RM) likes, as well as the fortunes we've made in sell-on clauses and the millions we have incoming from Michael Ngoo.

Yes you did.And this is what I wrote there:-

"As a SUFC supporter I'm grateful for any attention Southend United get in the media especially in The Guardian.
However, as Napster has pointed out above, Mark Rubin is part of a consortium attempting to take over at Southend and oust the present Chairman. He (or other members of theconsortium)have obviously been the source of recent blogs containing critical information about SUFC.Nothing wrong with that as long as the source is acknowledged.Up to now it hasn't been though."

Fair comment. ps I wrote as prnapper, not napster. But still.

And can somebody enlighten the board as to why this is a bad thing?
OK, 25 years ago it could be argued his actions were not in the best interests of SUFC.
However, he's undoubtedly gained a lot of business experience and acumen since then.

Personally, any action, no matter how small that potentially makes RM's life just that touch more uncomfortable is fine by me.

I pretty much just lifted my last set of comments from here on the madness of football administration. Strange to see The Guardian taking so much interest in our little Club....

What he said.

Interesting article, The fact that Mark Rubin wrote it seems to show that he still has an interest in being part of a takeover of SUFC. I like the digs at RM and I agree with him that the "fit and proper person test" should be applied much stricter, especially in the case of Ron Martin.
I remember Mark Rubin when he was in joint control of SUFC and he certainly was unpopular. However, I am sure he has matured and mellowed since then. Personally I would love to find out one day that the "consortium" has taken over SUFC. OK it may not be ideal, there is a lot we do not know about them, but when you think of what Martin has got away with any change must be for the better. I still think RM has been lucky not to be the victim of more hostility from our fans. I know this has been debated to death on here but am sure others feel the same way.
