Manager Sacking and Appointment Thread

Should have stuck with the Cowley’s who kept them up a couple of seasons ago, but they wanted more exciting football wonder if they will get that in league 1 😀.
Huddersfield are now looking for a sixth permanent manager since Carlos Corberan left in July 2022.

According to Sky De Zerbi is leaving Brighton after last game of the season tomorrow.

All these sackings despite teams doing quite well considering their circumstances. But owners always want more. Chelsea are in transition. The team is being rebuilt, and they have a lot of improving young players. I bet Pochettino is shocked. They have vastly improved from the start of the season. The players are now used to each other and the style of play. I bet they would have finished in the top 4 next season with Poch. They may still do with another Manager, but maybe not. Poch was their best bet.

Chelsea is a basket case of a club under their new owners. They finished the season in good form and have the core of a good team with some exciting young players. They've had rotten luck with injuries over the last season as well.

And who are they going to replace him? When you look at how some other big clubs (Bayern, Liverpool) have struggled to hire managers, they could be making a big mistake.

Alex Fergusson proved that it takes time to build a winning team , you have to have the boards 100% backing .

Wonder if he will end up at Man U. Or more probably Bayern, though apparently they are trying to get Thomas Tuchel to stay.

And yet if true, if he had lost to Notts Forest he was gone and the club history could have had a different story. Sometimes luck plays a big part, we are no different whilst hunting for a big name Tilson got on with the role and what a success, he etched his name in Sufc folklore forever x

So now from various sources it's said the fallout was over how they see the future regarding who to bring in and who to let go. Poch wanted to be more hands on regarding this, especially transfers coming in. Chelsea want the owners and football director to pick targets. This was unacceptable to Poch, and they parted ways. It seems Chelsea want more of a yes man as manager, that will have some of his duties done by those above. Let's see how that goes. They also want to bring in a set-piece specialist, and a statistician, again something Poch wasn't happy with, as it would lessen his role even further.

Plymouth Argyle are reportedly interesting in appointing Wayne Rooney as their next manager

Ten Haag gone (at half time) after Manure loss 14 nil against ManC in most one sided FA final ever. Haarland becomes first to core 4 times in final and Foden gets hat trick.

More likely than Rooney making a good manager for Plymouth.
