Manager Sacking and Appointment Thread

Mourinho sacked from Roma today. With attacking talent like Dybala, bellotti and lukaku he really can't complain. I have omitted Abraham as he's been injured all season.
I saw him tipped for the Brazil job recently.Don't think that's much of a runnner especially now.

I thought he done ok job with them (admittedly performances and results in serie a wasn't great) in Europe he won silverware and got to another final last season. The fans loved him and he gave them there first trophy in years..... from that aspect he achieved success. I do think his antics on the touchline went bit over the top, constantly harassing officials when decision didn't go his way. Be interesting to see where he goes next.

It's all about financial stability though, Roma have backed Jose very well by Italian standards. He demanded Tammy Abraham and got Abraham, then the same thing with Dybala. When Abraham was ruled out for the bulk of the season they backed him again with Lukaku. The target was always champions league to balance the books and Jose didn't get there. Roma are now in a position where they can't spend anything and are sitting 9th in serie A. The Jose reign could affect them for years to come as he didn't deliver on champions league football.

As far as Jose's next move, I have heard pochettino could be sacked soon and a return to Chelsea.

I agree he been backed but he has achieved success which they gained by winning Europa conference league trophy and getting to another European final which roma haven't done in years. I guess the modern day term of success is down to finishing in the top 4 which is quite sad to be honest. From business aspect he failed but I'm sure roma fans wouldn't trade there European trophy for top 4 place.

Yep winning the conference league isn't worth much financially. Great to get a trophy and if they had won the europa final last year then they would have got to the promised land. That might be why Jose went nuts about the refereeing performance, I watched the game and blaming the ref was really clutching at straws!

In news that will be more relevant to us, Wealdstone boss Stuart Maynard is being heavily linked with the vacant Notts County job. It will mean that Tuesday’s postponement is even more significant.

He can catch up on watching episodes of Antiques Roadshow now. Shortest manager appointment in history?? (Other than Sam Allardyce 1 game in charge of England although that was 67 dats)
Didn’t they start of pre season with a woman manager so the next appointment will be their 4th manager in a season so far, so there is enough time for another couple. P.ss up and brewery come to mind.

That was just Vince Dale milking a publicity opportunity, she never had the job. She's their youth team manager and filled in as interim coach for a couple of weeks in the same way Ricky Duncan filled in when Powell was sacked for us.

Honestly though it wouldn't suprise me if she gets the job now, Deeney smacked of being the cheap option (he was already at the club) so I can see another internal promotion being appealing to Dale, she's probably a better coach than Deeney as well given that she's been running their academy for years.
