Magilton Sacked - Someone Tie Tilson Down

I'll raise your Ady Bothroyd with a Paul Jewell.

Well, at least all the possible names we've come up with push Tilson further down the list of maybes. Doesn't necessarily mean they wouldn't be interested though but like Slip says, I think it will be a bigger "name" manager!

Skybet odds

A list of odds for the next Ipswich manager has just been shown. You'll be pleased to know that they had 10 names on the list and Tilson wasn't in the frame.
Can't remember them all but the likes of Hoddle, Keane, Curbishley, Jewell, Pardew, Poyet, Ferguson were in there.

Didn't Ince say he was only interested in a return to a Prem club?

Ha ha ha! That's a laugh! No chance.

Talk about delusions of grandeur. Just what you expect from someone who purports to invent his own nickname.

If he gets offered Ipswich, he should jump at it if he has any sense. But has he?

Magilton was sacked because he didn't meet the target of reaching the play-offs this season. I'd hope Tilson would run a mile from a job where that is the criteria if he's got a 'safe' position here.

Hoddle has his academy in spain and is unlikely to return to management from the interviews I've heard. I'd rule out Ferguson as he has a secure job too. I think it will go to Pardew or Curbishley, or maybe Ince.

Curbishley rumoured to have bought a house in Ipswich area now too!!!

He has supposedly bought a house up this way. Woodbridge apparently.

As has been said, I do think they'll be aiming higher than Tilly, rightly or wrongly.

why is ferguson always banded around as a big name - methinks it is because of who his father is. There are a couple of other managers that has done the same as and prob better that DF, but he seems to be deemed as a fashionable name. As someone says Tilly has done the same as , and more than DF but is not deemed a fashionable name , so on that front we are lucky. I honestly feel that Tilly will be the modern day Dario O'Gradi and he, Brush and Martin will be here for a long time.

If Tilly is to become the new Dario Gradi then it has a lot to do with the work of Ricky Duncan and co.

Geoff Thomas, David Platt, Rob Jones, Robbie Savage, Neil Lennon, Steve Jones, Danny Murphy, Seth Johnson, Dean Ashton and David Vaughan!

Not bad work!

I sincerely hope so, TTS. Mind you, I'm always afraid that a certain group of fans will one day get their wish and Tilson will get the bullet for a poor run of form. Every time we draw a couple of games, they come out of the woodwork.

If Tilson had gone over Christmas, as a significant minority wished, his only reward for his success and loyalty would a P45 and Bob Hope of getting a job anywhere north of League Two.

If he ever did a Phil Parkinson and breached contract to jump ship, you could hardly blame him.

I think they may go for Gus Poyet.

Even though he's not on the bookies list can we keep Tilly in that cupboard anyway? And if anybody with a suffolk farmer accent comes looking just say you haven't seen him in a while, remember act casual.

There is alot of unrest over the fact no-one knows who Marcus Evans is, i think he will go for a big name. As has already been said rightly or wrongly that won't be Tilly. There are several things that count against him.

Ian Holloway for gaffer

My other ITFC supporting mate has just come back & said there is a strong rumour they will go continental - he has heard it will be a French manager who is currently looking after a national squad...
