Low Cost VAR in National League?

2 challenges a game per Manager seems like an ideal solution to me as long as they are only reviewed at breaks in play.

We have the techology so why not use it like in cricket with that restricted number of challanges. It is the VAR offical sitting in a studio determining what is and what isn't reviewed that infuriates me.

I would welcome this initiative especially given the standard of on field decisions that are common place in this league.
The difference is, cricket has natural breaks after every phase of play. In football it's quite conceivable that a potential penalty that a manager wants reviewed would have to wait a few minutes for the ball to go out of play. What if during that time the opposition score? What kind of mess would that lead to?
