Do you think the riots London has experienced over the last couple of nights, and tonight will affect the travelling support?

I can appreciate we have probably sold tickets, but I wonder if many of those who purchased tickets, and are coming from Leytonstone will bother to make the journey, for fear of getting home in one piece.

It may affect any pay on the gate support that was going to travel, and would be a pity, because , as we all know we need all the money we can at the moment.

Does anyone know weather we may postpone the fixture?

The riots should not affect the gate at all, there has been no bother in the Leyton area, plus the riots would not stop the average football fan. My work takes me to all london boroughs, north south east and west of the city, and these riots are only isolated to a small area within these boroughs, i would be very surprised, if there was a poor away surport due to this.

I can see several games being called off tomorrow Crystal Palace v Crawley, Charlton v Reading & West Ham v Aldershot as police will be needed elsewhere. The risk is that Essex Police will be needed as cover and may not leave enough to Police our match.

England v Holland match on Weds in doubt as well now.

West Ham game off. I can see all tomorrows matches being postponed.

I'd be suprised if the england game remains if the situation doesn't improve drastically.

A quote from West Ham:
"All major public events in London to be rearranged because of need to focus police resources elsewhere."

Why would ours be called off? There no violence here and it wouldn't require that great a police presence.

Charlton vs Reading gone now.

It shouldn't be a problem, there's no history of major violence between the 2 sets of fans so it shouldn't require much more policing than a normal game. Leytonstone isn't one of the affected areas. And fingers crossed things will be a bit calmer tomorrow. Let's hope.

Southend v Orient last few matches I have seen extra police on duty, although the crowd will be smaller than a normal league match I bet they wanted more police.

i have heard there has been problems in Loughton ,Harold Hill and Ilford all in Essex tonight so it could also happen in Southend the night is gonna be a long one for the Police and they will be stretched to the Max so it could be likely to be called off for the saftey of everyone prevention being the cure

What about West Ham v Aldershot though?

Only reason the remaining games may go ahead is because of the Olympics next year and the need to be seen as business as usual. I've already seen police drafted in from Cambridgeshire and Kent and I can't imagine Essex will get away with only contributing 26.

Seems worse than just small isolated areas. Guy on BBC News now talking about his place in Ealing being smashed up. Ealing shopping centre on fire now.

More and more people heading out on the streets all over the place.

3/4 shops have been broken into and there pics of 7 officers protecting the police station but no major disturbance as yet Ilford alothough in essex shares responsibility with the met so cant see in being a drain on resources we all jumping the gun as normal

although if this continues i can see Sat game Tottenham V Everton being called off along with any other London Prem Team playing in the capital on Saturday
