Logic behind giving the scum 2000+ seats for Friday.

That's weird. For a moment there I thought I was reading some numpty Col U fan actually DEFENDING the state of Layer Road.

If we were in colu's position in the league and were playing at their toilet and they gave us 2000 tickets do u think we would sell them??

We have been given 2080 tickets.

If we do not sell them all at least we will have some extra space to make up for the non-existant leg room and the atrocious view that Roots Hall offers its guests.

It is pretty bad but you get the same deal in the South Lower so don't think we're treating you any different.

I swear most away fans this season have just stood anyway. If you stand up, all is sorted. Except for the delightful catering. Definitely bring a Thermos full of burgers.

:hilarious: :hilarious:

have you been in the "away end" at Layer Road, you cant see half the goal that's five fecking feet away

7468 with three home games still to play

People enjoying standing at a ground is not the same as thinking its a nice ground to go to.

Like your undying loyalty but Roots Hall, whilst not being the best stadium around, makes Layer Road look like a shed.

Col U official site says ticket sales finish at 12 thursday and then tickets will be returned to Roots Hall -

why ?

Cos the lady who does the tickets needs to go home early in time for a nice long Easter weekend ?

I think she also runs the club shop there . Prob only does half days during the school holidays .

Its what comes from having Heybridge Swifts and Wivenhoe Town as your local rivals .

This is at the request of SUFC.

Perhaps they are planning to allow some of the natives to sit with us ?

Do you not think you will be able to shift 2000 tickets?

Would have thought you would have moved them easily bearing in mind its just down the road ?

How many did you take to Ipswich ?

As you well know we provided Portmam Road with its highest attendance of the season (including the visit of Norwich). We not only sold our allocation of 2300, we also filled up the home areas.

There are numerous reasons for this game being less popular

1) Live on Sky
2) Ridiculously early kick-off time
3) Been to R Hall many times before
4) We are not desperate for the points
5) Roots Hall does not provide the sort of facilities we have become accustomed to on our travels this season
6) Difficulty in getting there. Apparently the coaches have to park at some school miles from the ground.I'm not even sure if trains are running on friday
7) As always this match is YOUR cup final not OURS

Let us not not forget that some of your allocation of only 1000 for Layer Road, made it to general sale this season, not to mention the 'beam-back' being cancelled due to lack of interest.

Those two statements seem to contradict each other, n'est-ce pas?
