Loanee Watch 2021-22

Level 6
NLS
Matt Rush’s full debut got off to the worst possible start for Chelmsford as they conceded at Dorking after only 3 minutes. They fared a little better second half as it was 7 minutes before they conceded. Matt Rush battled away up front and hit the post as they sought a way back into the game. It finished 2-0.

Ebbsfleet featuring ANG’s first start came from 1-0 down to draw level but Havant regained the lead second half. ANG, making his first start in nearly a year, came off with about 20 minutes remaining and with the Fleet trailing 2-1. Havant then added a third almost immediately and later a fourth before sub Shaq Coulthirst made it 4-2.

Tommy Davis appears to have been subbed off early second half as part of a double substitution by Spud with Welling 2-1 down. That remained the final score.

Level 7
Hendon’s game at Taunton was a blustery affair. Kinali had the first noteworthy attempt after half an hour as conditions seemed to get the upper hand but Taunton took the lead soon after on route to a comfortable 3-1 win. Kinali was subbed on 86 minutes.

Elsewhere no Miles Mitchell-Nelson for East Thurrock. They lost 6-0 without him at Hornchurch.

Level 8
In the Isthmian North Demaray Anyadike made a big impact for Hullbridge in his first start for them in their relegation battle at Romford. Hullbridge opened the scoring from one of his crosses
And the second came after a save from another cross before provided turned scorer
He then added a second with a delightful chip
They won 5-1 to move out of the drop zone.

Elsewhere in the Isthmian North Great Wakering featuring both Jaden Crowhurst and Luke Reeve got off to a bad start going 1-0 down in the third minute before conceding a second three minutes before the break. It ended 2-0.

In the Essex senior League there was along delay as the opposition keeper refused to leave the pitch after being sent off. Walthamstow won 2-0. Don’t know if Quamini played.

Second year scholars Brian Garzon and Tayo Adedoja head out to Isthmian Premier clubs on work experience loans

Garzon goes to struggling East Thurrock whilst Adedoja goes to Bowers and Pitsea.

Anyadike to Hullbridge is also confirmed but you knew that if you’d been following this thread. We’re apparently going to have a closer working relationship with Hullbridge. Which sounds a very positive development. I remember this being my mooted a while back so good to see this happen.

@Yorkshire Blue Any chance we could have a pinned post at the top of the thread with current players out on loan.

Would be good to edit it as and when another player goes out/comes back.

I don't know how hard it would be to do.

Also great to see so many young players going out on loan and playing for 3 points and extremely difficult to keep up with"

There is. All the information is contained in the opening post of the Contracts thread.

Edit: what I’ll do next year is keep the opening post of this thread blank and use that as well.

National League
Josh Coulson helped Kings Lynn keep another clean sheet in a 0-0 draw at Barnet. Louis Walsh was an unused sub for Barnet. Kings Lynn have conceded just the one goal in his 4 appearances.

Velocity Trophy

Brian Garzon made his East Thurrock debut against Barking. He played 63 minutes before being subbed with them trailing 1-0 (an improvement on recent weeks albeit playing a team the level below). East Thurrock pulled level with 5 minutes left with an own goal but lost on penalties.

Luke Reeve and Jaden Crowhurst lined up for Great Wakering against Tayo Adedoja, who was making his debut for Bowers and Pitsea. It didn’t go so well for the Wakering loanees: Luke Reeve was booked in the 2nd minute and Jaden Crowhurst then scored an OG in the 12th minute (about the time Lopata was doing the same for the firsts, although it may be a case of misidentification for Jaden). Crowhurst soon after hit the crossbar at the right end. Bowers made it 2-0 though just before half-time when Adedoja scored on his debut and he made it 3-0 on 67 minutes, winning the ball through sheer determination and running through from the halfway line.

Welling were in Kent Senior Cup but no Tommy Davis.

London City Cup
Hendon were playing Dulwich Hamlet. Kinali scored the winning penalty in the shootout after it finished 3-3.

a penalty shoot out after the match finished 3-0 mmmmmmm

Ashley Nathaniel-George was a half-time sub as Ebbsfleet knocked out Bromley on penalties in the Kent Senior Cup. ANG scored his penalty in the shoot-out.

In the Hampshire Senior Cup, Terrell Egbri and Rob Howard were part of the Farnborough side that beat Pompey 4-0. All 4 goals came in the last half hour.

Level 5
Josh Coulson’s King’s Lynn were thumped 4-1 by Maidenhead, who featured former young Shrimpers Kane Ferdinand and Emile Acquah in their starting line-up (and Shawn McCoulsky came on as a sub)

Level 6
Matt Rush lined up for Chelmsford against Harry Kyprianou’s Oxford City. Benyon and Matsuzaka were on the bench for Oxford City who thought better than to appoint Brown as manager. Chelmsford took an early lead but Oxford pegged them back before Chelmsford were reduced to 10 men just before half-time. Rush had a header deflected narrowly wide from a corner. Kypriainou was subbed in 74 minutes and Oxford took the lead soon after. Rush was subbed off on 86 minutes. Chelmsford lost 2-1.

ANG got the start for Ebbsfleet at home to Eastbourne. He did brilliantly down the left to set up a chance for Shaquille Coulthirst to hit the post and Eastbourne had a player booked for fouling him. He had to go off injured after 89 minutes leaving Ebbsfleet to defend a 2-0 lead with 10 men for the 8 minutes of injury time.

Tommy Davis was on the bench for Spud’s Welling. Welling lost 2-1

Level 7
Isthmian Prem
Oli Coker made his East Thurrock debut with Brian Garzon on the bench for bottom of the table East Thurrock against Carshalton who appear to have Ergis Shala lining up for them in defence. Shala had an effort from 40 yards but it was off target. Oli Coker was booked for kicking the ball away on 72 minutes and then again on 84 minutes. The 10 men of East Thurrock went onto sensationally win in injury time for just their 5th win of the season.

Tayo Adedoja was a 75th min sub for Bowers’ home game v Potters Bar as Bowers tried to come back from 1-0 down. Ex-Shrimper Norman Wabo went close and Bowers hit the post after his introduction but Potters Bar held on after a late onslaught to win 1-0.

Southern League Premier Central
Eren Kinali played for Hendon in their 3-2 home defeat v Salisbury. Kinali scored a last minute consolation

Level 8
Jimmy Wallace was at the heart of Witham’s defence for their game against Benno’s old side Canvey. Promotion seeking Canvey won 1-0.
Their fellow challengers Aveley were at home to Dereham with Jon Benton in midfield. Aveley triumphed 2-1.
Jaden Crowhurst and Luke Reeve were in the Great Wakering side that took on Bury (not that one). Bury Town took an early lead but were reduced to 10 men first half. The 10 men scored twice more before going down to 8(!) in injury time. Great Wakering lost 3-1.

Level 9
Tendi Quamini’s Walthamstow drew 0-0 at home to Stansted
