Covid really hampered this the last few years but we’re definitely making a push to get them out and playing.Great to see so many of our youngsters going out on loan at last
Does anyone know how many loanees Wakering/Isthmian League teams can field from the same club?
The FA Standardised Rules (which cover the Isthmian League) state: “No more than four (4) Players (Short Term, Long Term or [Youth]) may join one Club from another Club (or club) in any Playing Season. [An additional Youth Loan Player may be added to this figure.]” (Rule 6.6.1)…Does anyone know how many loanees Wakering/Isthmian League teams can field from the same club?
Luke Reeve and Jaden Crowhurst are already there on loan.
Right back, centre back now left back, can’t we lend them another central defender?Covid really hampered this the last few years but we’re definitely making a push to get them out and playing.
I’m intrigued as to what extent this is Maher or Danny Heath. I know Stan said Kev had a plan to get everyone minutes, not sure if that filters as far down as the Scholars - Stan did say it was detailed!

With a large part of the U18 squad out on loan this surely means that the U18's starting XI now must now largely be made of U16's lads.
Could this also be an indicator in the coaches highly rating the current U16 crop so willing to give them this exposure?
Just a thought
You'd imagine so. I know our U23 players out on loan do that.Given the clubs are part-time and only training probably two evenings a week - if the matches don't clash - can they do both SUFC U18's and their loan club matches?
Regulation-wise, when players are on a work experience or youth loan they can return to play non first-team matches for SUFC during the period of their loan (more so with the U23s than the U18s as the U18s generally play on Saturday mornings), but part of the purpose of the players going out on loan is for them to gain experience in senior football and the challenges that brings, playing Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday and playing for points (they get that to an extent in the U18s, but it is still development football).Given the clubs are part-time and only training probably two evenings a week - if the matches don't clash - can they do both SUFC U18's and their loan club matches?
He was on loan at Canvey for a month earlier this season before going to East Thurrock. Tracking loan spells is a nightmare which is what promoted this thread in the first place. Players often turn up somewhere unannounced and there’s often no official record.Miles Mitchell-Nelson back out on loan, this time to Canvey in the Isthmian North.
Only a couple of places below his former side East Thurrock United who are struggling in the Isthmian Premier.
I believe this is his fourth spell out on loan with the previous sides being Harlow Town, Brightlingsea Regent, ETU and now Canvey. Could be more?

Don't know how true it is...
Would love the communication to be better but I know non-league and thats just how it is!! Especially with the Media dept. of most clubs being volunteers/part timeHe was on loan at Canvey for a month earlier this season before going to East Thurrock. Playing for multiple teams seems to be the way in non-league as well. Teams have small squads so cover may be needed if someone is injured for a month. There also seems to be a dual registration thing whereby a player can be on two clubs’ books at the same time.
Jimmy Wallace, Tommy Davis, Demaray Anyadike, Bobby Unwin and Ergis Shala have all played for multiple clubs on loan this season and that is just amongst the third scholars!
Canvey should be a good move for him and for the club: Canvey are top so games will be meaningful and it won’t hurt the club to have a team they have a good relationship with (remember Benno was their manager until a few months ago) in a higher division. Let’s hope it works out for all parties.
The SUFC Youth account on twitter is terrific. As fans we are very fortunate to have that and it puts to shame the twitter accounts of many a non-league side.Would love the communication to be better but I know non-league and thats just how it is!!
