Just had the most amazing conversation with a girl who has just come into our office in London, she over heard me talking about Euro tickets on the phone to me mate, She started enquiring about if I had tickets, blah blah blah her boyfriend only turns out to be a certain ex Southend Centre Half who is with a secon division team now, she informed me amongst others that Leon is definately off, apparently her boyfriend had just got off the phone to him.

It doesn't say he's going to the team that the ex-southend centre back is at though, just that he spoke to him and is leaving.

Wouldn't Leon and Leo have been together at Brentford, therefore they would know each other.....

I still don't know whether or not conny will leave.

this season has been the 1st season in his career where he has consistantly scored goals. He could just be a one season wonder. I which case he may want to prove himself here next season.
If he is chasing the money, then i think he's making a mistake. For me he is still unproven. 1 good season doesn't make him a good player.
Look at players over recent years who have buggered off for more money after having a good season in a southend shirt. Lee and Hutchings to name two. Where are they now?

If i was conny i'd stay another year and try and help the team to a higher league placing, if he scores the goals, then he is likely to be offered even more cash elsewhere.

Reminder - Rushden are in the middle of a cash crisis and will probably have to offload players in the summer. Also they might well be back in Div3 come tomorrow night. Assuming Tilly/RM will offer Leon an improved contract, I doubt he will go to another club in our division that faces a future as uncertain as ours. Another club maybe, but Rushden? no chance.
