I think Lee Sawyer played well when he came on Saturday, always looking for a positive pass.If he works hard i think he will be a major asset at this level.

Lee done well tonight everytime he went foward with the ball we looked good, plus his tackling back and winning possetion again was great to see.Looks like he may have picked a injury up lets hope not.Need him match fit again.Well done Lee.:footballer:

looked ok - nothing better than that. Easton the pick of the midfield.

I thought he was excellent. First start in the league for ages and looked real class at times. Touch of cramp for his troubles by the end

looked ok but not the same player as first time here. I think he just needs games and will be fine. I agree Easton was pick of midfield tonight and Comminges also did well.. much fitter

Very wasteful in possession I thought and very rough around the edges. Still doesn't make the first 11 for me when all players are fit.

Did ok last night, but didn't get hold of the game like Grant. That said, at times his quality on the ball is great to watch and he will improve with games. Hope he gets his chance to prove his worth to the team, but if Grant and Ferdinand are fit I'd probably have him back on the bench.

I think that's the point. He was good in places, but not brilliant. I think he needs a run of games for him to be the player we know he can be. I don't see him getting those chances unless we have a few more injuries though...

He looks good running with the ball but needs to improve his passing which lacks the precision and sharpness that he had before. However, in the second half there was a huge contrast between him breaking from deep with the ball with pace and purpose, and Soares ambling up to the defenders.....

If the worst happens and Ryan Hall does end up with a prison sentence I could see Sturrock playing 442 with Easton and Ferdinand in the middle, Grant and Sawyer as wingers and Corr and Sturrock up front.

He can do but too often ends up going sideways due to having no left foot. The net effect is what people used to slag Kevin Maher off for but at least Maher didn't waste energy (or get cramp) from chasing the ball across the pitch.

I think Sawyer did ok last night but ultimately the evening showed me that Paul Sturrock knows what he's doing by having Grant & Ferdinand as his first picks for the middle.

The lack of sharpness i would put down to lack of match practice. He needs games.

The overall picture Lee done very well.showed great attitude.was great going foward, won loads of tackles to gain possetion back like a little terrier. When he gets his match fittness back he will be fireing on all cylinders with no cramp problem.Needs to play again on saturday and he will i think.Watch this space.:footballer:

Agree 100%
He played very well yesterday and got behind the Barnet defense. Which is what he does very well. He was playing a holding roll at times yesterday and he really was everywhere throughout. Rate him HIGHLY!

Terrier-like, hmmmm....I did notice a couple of Lee's tackles that made me wince and which could easily have earned cards. He still has that tendency to either leave the boot in too long or go in too high and that's a side of him I really don't like. I'm happy that he got so long on the pitch, and hope this is the start of things for him. As long as he shows the right attitude then I'll be behind him.

All of these points remind me of a certain Irish player we had who was quality!
