I would have thought they would replace Luke with Dave Johnson who came to us from Arsenal 2 years ago.Good luck Luke great coach.

I actually laughed when I saw the title of this thread and didn't believe it!

Think our youth setup won't progress much until we move into the new stadium which I believe has better facilities for both the first team and the youth teams, but I may be wrong. With the better facilities we could also become a category 2 academy, meaning we can have an under 21s development team (like a reserve team which we don't have) and be able to get more money for players, be able to attract better players and spend more time coaching players too.

Among other things don't we need an INDOOR 3G pitch for cat2, and A budget of around £1 million ?

This is a long term requirement, ie future plans are needed to prove you would like to build one in the future. But it's not a requirement to meet cat 2.

For those who were asking how much we need to be cat 2, we would need to find £1.5 million per year to meet the required standards.

Dave Johnson will take over as new academy manager, but I can't emphasise enough how big a loss Luke is to the club and the youth development set up.
