Kings Lynn and Wealdstone tickets ?

I said it was great. I’m just (pleasantly) surprised so many fans are going to Kings Lynn and Wealdstone. Maybe it’s all the doom & gloom bollocks I read on here. It was a compliment to blues fans, not a criticism.
It may have something to do with most fans haven't seen Southend play in a competitive fixture since March 2020 and all haven't seen Southend play away since at least February 2020

The reality is that we have been starved of live league football and Kings Lynn is our first away outing for a long time. Ergo everyone is piling in to 'enjoy' our first jolly of 2021. Results will effect our next away to Wealdstone, but both are in quite close travelling distance. The real test will be the likes of Grimsby etc.

Ok maybe I’m the only one surprised, again in a good way. I guess I was thinking with Covid and being non league (and the negative stuff I’ve read/heard) that less would travel.

It shows the potential that’s there. And the support will be much appreciated by the players I’m sure!

whats the negative stuff though? weve signed some decent players and got them in early. All are an upgrade on what we had. Ralph is like a new signing again and looks fit and strong and in PB a manager that will take no ****. Sure we could do with a few more bodies in and of course the stadium still hangs over our head but most of my Southend friends feel far more positive than this time last year

Your Southend friends are more upbeat than mine mate.

Personally I can’t wait for Stockport, can’t make an away til Halifax or Torquay. I’ve read and heard down the pub all sorts of nonsense about PB being the wrong man, about us having players too old/too ****, possible embargos, the “shame” of being non league, another season of struggle etc.

What we need is a good few wins to get the Hall rocking and get us all believing. It does make me smile, the fact that so many of our fans are so keen to get back regardless of who we’re playing or in what league. Restores the old faith a bit. UTB!

Any news on when Wealdstone tickets will be released? Sorry if the answer is in one of the 465 posts before mine.

I think Shrimpers took it upon themselves to register and book tickets directly with KL....Imagine we'll be in various pockets around the ground

I see Bromley v Grimsby is in doubt due to COVID cases in the Grimsby camp. I wonder if that's called off, our game will be pushed back to fill the gap for BT ?

If they moved our game I would be fuming, I've organised my staycation around this game and leave straight after as its in Norfolk.

I'm not saying they will, but i don't know how BT operate, if Grimsby is off do they find a replacement game or just let it go. I haven't taken much notice of the BT coverage of the NL before.

I can't either but you hear about sky doing this all the time and screwing things up for away fans.
That was my thinking, how much do BT want a live game and how much do they care about moving games for fans, sky do it all the time at short notice, when we played home to Sheffield United it was moved to midweek for sky after their fans had booked to stay here the weekend. i do hope not but it might be worth keeping an eye on the Grimsby situation.

Well in my eyes the really sensible thing to do if Grimsby have to postpone would be to call upon Yeovil to fulfill the fixture as they are not due to play this weekend. This I’m sure would keep everyone happy would it not??
