Complete lack of perspective in all this anti-Sturrock talk. At the start of his first season we were all preparing for the conference, only to finish mid table. In his second season, we got 86 points. I'm shocked he hasn't won the champions league his first 2 seasons, and would suggest we ask him for an explanation. Our of curiosity, if England don't win on Tuesday, should we sack Hodgson too?

We actually finished with 83pts but the point is still relative. That points tally is almost always good enough for the top 3, and infact I believe it's more than we got when we won League One? Sod's law that on this occasion it wasn't quite enough last year but we were 23 minutes away from L1 - let's not forget that. Yes I'm quite sure that mistakes were made along the way as they are with any club but no-one can deny that we made big progress last season, even if the end result was a disappointment after challenging for so long. I really don't think we're long for this league and I'm grateful to Sturrock for playing a big part in turning this club around, what he did in his 1st season here was almost miraculous as we could have so easily been in Stockport or Lincoln's position right now. With a bit of tweaking we can certainly get back into L1 this season, particularly if our key players (and obviously one vital player in particular - Hall!) remain at the club. If Eastwood signs and gets himself fully fit then he, Hall, Corr and Harris will have too much for this league.

A wee birdie told me that without players we are in negotiations with and twelve registered players plus chambers, woodyard and bentley who will be put out on loan for there developement every other player has been released. He would like to thank these players for there commitment and endeavours over two hard seasons without there help who knows what might have happened i wish them well.Negotiations with new players happened last few days and next week will be very busy.Tour not totally finalised but can say slot for it in preseason itinerary is week commencing 23rd of july but length of tour not finalised but can say there is two games hope monday or tuesday will be official statement if tour goes ahead pack suntan lotion and sunglasses.will try to keep you in the know as understand frustrating time for fans but hope you appreciate can only relay news when wee birdie sings keep the faith.

I've already planned to stay in Scotland that week in antcipation. Surely we're playing in the Highlands?

Wow... Isn't perspective interesting... I am so happy with what has been achieved the last two seasons; I fully expect that we will improve in the coming season too... There is no way I can forget the feelings I had this time two years ago and how I feel now... Based on what I believe two years of outstanding achievements, I am quite happy to totally trust PS and revaluate where we stand seasons end and what circumstances got us there... But I am more than happy to assume we will get promoted, based on the journey with PS thus far!

Sturrock does some things that drive me mad, like refusing to play with wingers, 451 at home and hoofball. But he's done a great job in his two seasons so i'm willing to give him one more season before i criticise his results.
I am happy to criticise his style of play and some decisions, but overall his results are fine by me

Just out of curiosity, bearing in mind where you live, how many games have you seen under Sturrock ?

Six.But remember I listen in to practically all the matches on the net and watch the BP highlights of each game too plus keep in touch with opinions on this board and from friends and family who follow the team home and away.In fact it's almost a full time job.

Football is a results based business. What has Sturrock achieved for our club? I'd agree with MK that in his first season he performed a minor miracle to keep us from dropping out of L2, especially since he had so little pre-season time to put a squad together.Last season was different however. He had the time to bring in the players he wanted (and the money too before the transfer deadline). What did we achieve?A losing play off place.Frankly I don't think that's good enough and I don't expect either PS or the team to do any better next season.Let's face it, unless the elusive move to FF either becomes a reality or gets buried forever, we're unlikely to progress as a club or as a football team.

PS is doing in my opinion a very good job. I believe most agree but you will never please everyone. Thats fine. But lets put our happy heads on whilst we have yet to play a game.
