JUST GOT HOME

It will be interesting to see if there are many empty seats tomorrow night..

I'm sure a few plastic mancs/local glory hunters will have bought Hull tickets even though they have no intention of actually going to the game.

Quote[/b] (Upminster Blue @ Oct. 30 2006,13:04)]I know a number of season ticket holders and non-season ticket holders who have Hull tickets who aren't going to the Man Ure game (for various reasons, eg because they can't make it, it's too expensive, it's live on Sky, can't que for 3 hours, not fussed about seeing Man Ure reserves etc etc).  This may be one of the reasons why "only" 2,000 tickets were sold yesterday.

I confidently predict that everyone who has a Hull ticket stub and wants a Man Ure ticket will get one.  I also reckon that there will be a few left for general sale but dont quote me if I'm wrong!
Very true.. I am going to the Hull City game cos its a VERY VERY important game for us actually the BIGGEST game in 12 Mouths..... But not too bothered about the Man U game TBH ... as its on Sky TV so Im Happy....

Anyone know what time the Ticket Office will close on Wednesday night as If it stays open passed 6pm I can get there in time travelling back from London....

If Southend started to sell Man u Tickets after our Game on Tuesday night, I would 100 % get some, BUT THAT LOOKS VERY UNLIGHTLY :-(

One Team In Essex
SOUTHEND UNITED FC

The club should definately do a points system for ticket sales in the future. Its the way that other clubs deal with this and everyone would at least know where they are then.

I've got a season ticket this year, but only because I had to because of the extra number of people coming to games now compared to a few years ago. I'd have been far happier to have been able to just pay every game instead, even if it works out more expensive over the season, and I'll never buy the arguement that season ticket holders are more deserving of tickets to high-demand matches than non-seasons who go every week home and away.

I'm driving over straight from work tonight - can I park in Roots Hall or will I have to park away from the ground and walk? Hope the queue is 2 hours or less by then as I won't be there until about 6pm!

Im going to quote you already!

I reckon all tickets will be gone after the Hull ticket phase has passed.

Too many people have bought Hull tickets for it not to sell outsurely ?

Who would have thought Southend Vs Hull on a Tuesday night would have been a sell out! On top of the Man Utd gate thats probably another 2,500 tickets sold that would probably have gone spare.

I reckon there'll be a few left for general sale too. I doubt that every season ticket holder will buy one/leave themselves enough time to buy one.

people were parking in the Car Park

Any update on the queue situation at the moment guys?

Hoping to pop down after work tonight and wondered what the latest endurance test was like?

Thanks in advance

I'd like to ask though - where has it ever been mentioned that the NW corner won't be open for the Manchester United game??

They only have 1,800 tickets which is only about 2/3 of the North Bank.

I'm of the understanding the Club are putting around 12,100 on sale, with 200 left for segration

Arrived at 11.40am and drove away at 2.45pm.
The queue looked like it was dying down until the last half hour and then it started to increase again. My guess is you will be one of many travelling there after work, and I can't imagine everyone will get served tonight if the queue is still as long as when I left it come 6.00pm tonight.
Sorry, just my opinion.

No need to apologise mate, info much appreciated.

Having said that, can they actually have that many more to shift if the queue has been 3 hours+ for 2 days now?

saw a message on the yahoo list that the queue was about 2 1/2 to 3 hours. If you get down there at 5ish, could be touch and go that you get served by 8pm

I reckon if your not in the queue by 5:30pm they will turn you away.

I dont think they can be turning people away if they are not in the queue by 5.30 in all honesty, people work and they ticket shop have to be flexible.

Granted, I know the staff in there are doing a great job and are working hard, but this doesnt happen very often, so if it means staying open until 10.00 tonight, then they really ought to.

If they dont, then that will mean no ticket for me!!

I cant understand why they couldnt of opened earlier than 9.30am,the que didnt start to get big really till 8.45am,i got there at 7.00am,and lets say they opened at 8.00am imo they would be infront of themselves,i was lucky just so happened to have the day off today, feel sorry for those who wernt so fortunate be lucky

I'm completely screwed now.

I had made incredibly complicated plans. I'm stuck in the office until gone 8pm at the earliest. My season card is with my mother. My mother was to give my season card to my father who was going to drive down to the ground and get his and my ticket. Unfortunately his flight was cancelled and he's not even in the country at the moment. Meanwhile my season ticket is with my mother who is unwilling and unable to go and queue as the car is at the airport.

b******s.

Gawd bless 'er indoors. The missus went down at 9:15am this morning and got my ticket for me after queueing 2 hours.

If its bad now when we know our tickets are reserved how will it be Wednesday when the Hull ticketers dont know if they will get one ?

I queued for about 2 and a half to three hours from two about til almost five. By the time I was finally going in to the shop, the queue was already getting much bigger and starting to stretch down towards the North East ticket office area.

I can't help but think there will be a lot of unhappy people on here later
