Unfortunately, I agree. I say unfortunately because like everyone I'm sure, I love a bit of gossip and appreciate the inside scoop, but I am not sure it's the right thing for cp to do. Expecting clunimore to pop up from his tiny avairy first thing tomorrow...

CP is advetising the echo stories. Its good for the paper and for Chris so does no harm. He has been doing it for a couple of months - offering something like a film trailer - you like the trailer you watch the film

would have thought in this day and age it would be wiser to keep a good story secret until you print it, then you might actually have people buying the paper and make some money, as opposed to finding it out for free on twitter?

I understand that Bazzashrimper, but if it's something that he then says he will get in trouble over if it gets out maybe he should just keep quiet and not risk that.

He doesn't print the whole story on twitter though - just a teaser - here he said there were 3 bust ups and spoke about the lesser of the three. It's a way of building anticipation so people actually want to read the story in the paper rather than just being content with seeing it on, say SZ which invariably caries most news in some form anyway (as soon as it's available in the shops, if it's news its on the internet). This way CP also gives people a reason to look at his twitter feed - which can then carry links to the echo website.

I'm just speculating, but maybe his editor encourages him to post these teasers? Obviously with a proviso that he doesn't actually give away the important detail, normally the names
