Breaking News Joint Fundraiser with Southend United/The Trust and TBV

Staff costs to place on seats, etc. if every seat sold has one (unlikely) that's 50p each piece of card. The ones at RH had printing on the other side I think as well. I can see how costs could mount.

Personally would prefer it was spent on something more lasting and/or momento of the day - flags, scarfs etc. But I have no idea what's planned and don't won't to appear critical - hats off to the organisers, whatever it is will be an amazing effort to produce at short notice
I can remember playing Fifa 2016 with my mate & pre drinks before night out on Saturday, I never forget seeing the players walk out of the tunnel to see blue & white cards behind the goal and seeing SUFC logo, Banner and blue flare as half of Wembley was full of Southend fans, as I was in League one for FA Cup final against Man Utd (we won 🤣). I know the game wasn’t real, but it’s was an surreal feeling, hopefully on Sunday, I can get to see it for real!

PS: I haven’t bought Fifa game since September 2020, as I refused to buy it, until Southend Utd get promoted!!

Hope you got your ticket Murkey?

Off to Wembley.
Tomorrow afternoon to set up the display.
Really looking forward to setting the Southend United display up, with my usual colleagues.

They usually takes the mick saying you will never do this for Southend well we proved them wrong.

Then Hopefully home at a reasonable time deliveries permitting.!! For some kip.

Earlish C2C train out Sunday Morning with a large crowd of us getting on at all Stations.
Few Beers. Then !!!!
As an “insider” at Wembley you could tell folk how stringent they are regarding materials used, the display content itself and the tests they have to undergo before being allowed into the stadium, this will help understanding how much effort has been made by all concerned in such a short time frame.
Whatever appears will be memorable for many reasons.

There are stringent tests on everything we put out at Wembley. Everything has to be fireproof etc.
The company I work for works with the f.a.
everything is done with health & safety in mind which is totally right.

Southend United's display has passed this as the usual suppliers probably up north have worked round the clock at just three days notice. The Trust have done a brilliant job to get a this Done enjoy. !! It will be memorable.
