Jeremy Corbyn's Labour

Not on BBC news yet but read of a Government cave in. There will be a final House of Commons vote on the terms of Brexit. So Labour tactics on this seem to have paid off if this news is correct.

That's not a government cave in.

This was something that May was already offering to her backbenchers.

There's limited value in such a vote after the event (which is why she's offering it) as the only thing worse than a bad deal is no deal. It's like the white paper concession you trumpeted - because again it was offered after the vote there was limited value in it and the government got away with a joke of a white paper.

Starmer is trying his best, but it's difficult when Corbyn has tied his hands.

Still, it surely can't be long before Corbyn's pro-Brexit stance attracts to Labour all the brexiteers. You only have to look at SZ to see how the brexiteers are now queuing up to support Corbyn....

it's drip drip with May, nothing gets announced properly it just keeps edging towards something that means something.
Corbyn doesn't have a pro-Brexit stance he has a reluctant acceptance of A50 stance which is the start of negotiations with the EU and with Parliament. I expect a general election in 2019 when the deal is ready to present to the EU as I expect it will not look like the deal 52% voted for in 2016.

Which is exactly what the Tories want. Give Labour the slightest bit of rope and they will hang themselves

Couldn't disagree more, they don't even know what the rope is for, they have looked amateurish at every stage of this process - a referendum with and assumed outcome, the lies the promoted in the campaigns, the shock to Johnson and Gove when they realised what they had done, Cameron having to quit, a leadership election with no vote, thinking Brexit means Brexit was all that needed to be said, attempts to keep Parliament out of the process, two expensive court cases lost, 7 months before any attempt at offering up a plan, a white paper than was littered with typos. They are not looking great.

Yes all of the above and Labour will lose by a landslide at the next GE. Just shows how amazingly bad you really are.

The party of the working class has been hijacked by people just like you and the rest of us have to pay the price.

yeah I hijacked the party by joining up thirty years ago and took it away from people who are slightly to the right of Ghengis Khan but pretend to have some interest in the Labour Party because they think it will help to win arguments on a football forum.

PMQ's was a barnstorming victory for the Leader of the Opposition today and no mistake. May had nothing in the armoury and had her arse well and truly kicked. I can't vote for Labour while Corbyn is leader, it goes against the very fibre that binds me but credit where its due, he was good today.

For me when Corbyn is in his comfort zone he can be good...today he was up against a PM who pretty much failed to answer a single question posed whether it was by him or someone else, and today with the intercepted text leak he could not go wrong.

Like you Labour will not get my vote at the next GE, and at present for the first time since being able to vote I cant think of a party that will.

Same here.

you could tell she was spooked from the off - trying to brush the Surrey question aside by elaborating on social care - a subject she usually avoids at all costs and then reverting to standard replies of telling Labour to change their leader (stepping a little outside of her remit rather) and then claiming there is a strong economy (not checked borrowing figures recently I assume) rather than answering the question - what deal did the Tory Surrey County Council get that enabled then to reduce their council tax rise from 15% to 4.99%? The government are supposed to govern for all not just 'their' areas.

I have to spread it around apparently but you are increasing being a voice of reason on this boards - so credit where its due....

From what I've read, that's correct. Yet, using a football analogy, you can only play who you're up against. May is hardly a political heavyweight. It's at least good to know she can be deservedly flattened from time to time. Perhaps it's a situation she will become more used to over the next couple of years?
