Just in from the club..."SUFC have just bought a new substitute's bench". First glimpse below......

Don't think we really needed another striker but he does give us a pace option off the bench. Is Brown starting to build a squad for next season, perhaps?
I think this would be a wise move...to start looking ahead. We are safe in this league and pushing for play-offs. That makes us quite attractive to players. It would make good sense for Phil to start thinking ahead, players who are cheaper and available earlier to give him time to assess them and build for next season.

I hope Loza has improved from last time.

Logic suggests he will have improved. He's young and should be on the way up rather than the way down.

He's a year or two older and has had a year or two's more training at a decent level.

No reason to think he won't have improved, it's just a question of whether he's improved enough to be an asset to us in League 1.

It's incredible the amount of people immediately writing him off on the other thread, as he didn't set the world alight when he was here before...He was only 19 years old then FFS and he'd only played a couple of first team games...hardly the peak of his career! I wonder if the same people are surprised to see how well Daniel Bentley is now doing...he looked nowhere near good enough when he made his debut against Torquay.

I'm not suggesting he will be a world beater this time...or even make the first team...but giving the guy a chance might be a nice.

That's an outrageous suggestion! Its far better to form an instant judgement based on limited facts

I think your on the wrong website mate

Just a bit confused. Brown goes to 3 centre halves and 2 wing backs with a degree of unexpected success. Then we add 2 young midfield players on loan and Loza. What is Brown's long term strategy ? and who is departing ?

I think he's more of a short term type of guy.

I agree it seems odd that having carried 5 centre-backs whilst we were playing 2 CBs, we now off-load one and go down to three CBs whilst playing 3 of them (although it isn't a formation which suits Prosser).

I would expect us to have reverted back to 4 at the back in 6 weeks or so's time anyway.

We have players who can fill in at centre back if required. I'm sure PB has a list of players that we can bring in at short notice for a short term loan if needed.

Good bit of business by PB. It's looking a better strike force than it did at the start of the season.

Welcome back Jamar.

Am I the only one who is underwhelmed by this signing. When he was here last time I was glad to see him leave!

Yes,probably. He could be just what we need.Look at what his team-mate,Jacob Murphy who came from Norwich at about the same time, has done at Col U and Coventry this season.

I am sitting on the fence a little with this one. Not over impressed last time but he is 2 years older now. Provided it is not to the detriment of Jack Payne's development then I can be won over.

I really feel you have to see it as glass half full than half empty. They way I look at it, he was a very young guy who only played 7 matches. He put in a cracking performance against Oxford and scored a great goal. In the other games he beat players and got to the byline several times and pulled back some great balls. It wasn't his fault Corr was picking his nose on the halfway line. Seven games to judge a player is a bit unjust really.

He has the pace we require. I'm happy he's here.

Bentley, Smith, Smith
White, O'Neill, Thompson, Bolger, Barrett, Coker, Hendrie
Worrall, Hurst, Atkinson, Deegan, Wordsworth, Timlin, Kamara, McLaughlin
Payne, Hunt, Mooney, Loza, Weston, Barnett

That's a 24 man squad and I'm sure I've missed someone!
SURELY there have to be departures tomorrow? Who is paying for all this?
Apparently Brown wants another centre half.
