Jake Hyde

Dunno why he bothers putting himself through it season after season. And why the hell clubs keep picking him up, what a waste of money that will be for Chelmsford. Daft.

It is hard for me to judge the worth or value of this.
When fit Jake will, imo, be a very good asset for them; and conversely when injured a possible waste of money and squad spot.
Is he on Pay & Play, sliding scale for appearances/goals/assists etc?
I hope it works out for them, and him; as I wish them success and found Jake to be, when chatted to, a nice, good guy.

scored again last night so that’s 2 goals in 2 games
Maybe he’s finally found his level

Just seen that Glenn Tamplins (Billericay Town ) Son signed for chelnsford and Started Saturday

Hyde scored just 6 minutes after coming on as a sub

JH wasn’t tall or fast, but always sought out good goalscoring positions in the box.Others since ,even Cardwell ,have not been so good at this. Two who knew where to be, but didn’t score many for us,because of injuries and lack of support respectively, were Murphy and Goodship.

Yeah he's been there since the start of pre season and played against us. Wasn't too bad to be fair

I saw Jake play on Saturday, he scored the equaliser and did so again last night. He wasn't receiving much service on Saturday but scored a decent goal from a cross. I noticed that he didn't seem to get too much involved in the pre match warm up, probably needs wrapping up in cotton wool due to him being prone to injury. If he gets decent service he will do well at NLS level

Jake talks highly of his season with us and is full of praise for KM, Ruby, Benno and, in fact, everyone in the set up and playing side.
This Echo story, for me, confirms my thoughts (when talking to him on a couple of occasions) that he is a good guy; and what a pity his season was so dessimated by injury after injury.

I'd back that up. Some players are much better with kids than others, he was one who was great. A nice bloke, who just got unlucky with injuries.
