Jade Goody - RIP

Status
Not open for further replies.
Goody, originally from Bermondsey, south London, had been open about wanting to exploit media interest in her battle with cancer.

She was keen to raise public awareness of the disease and prevent other women from suffering her fate.

Oh not to make a few quid then??

BOLLOX!

I guess Jack Tweed has lost his "Get out of Jail free" card now.

RIP, hope the kids pull through this

Never really liked her or what she stood for but 27 is a very young age to depart this mortal coil. May she now rest in peace and everybody move on from this.

But do we fear death too much?

I watched a programme about an Amish family. They has given away their life savings to someone who need it more than them, then their daughter was diagnosed with Leukemia. They were so philosophical about the whole thing. If God decides she should survive she will, but if not she will be going to a better place - and they really did believe it and didnt get upset at all.

I would imagine the violent little twonk is now a made man. Give it 6 months before OK magazine has him on the front cover with some blonde bird headlined "How I found solace in the arms of [insert name] following my Jade's death" Another £250k in the back pocket of an violent man. The same magazine that will now also coin in loads on their pre-death Jade Goody Memorial edition published last week.

Can this now be the end of this Z-list celebrity obsession this country has developed.

Condolensces to the children but that's all (and Dave Webb's Brain I guess).

today being Mothers Day is all the more poignant.

How convenient.
Wouldn't surprise me if she passed away Thursday or Friday but that dodgy slimeball of a PR man (we all know who I mean but don't want to be directly libellous) delayed releasing the news until Mothering Sunday to go for the full poignancy effect...

May she now rest in peace and everybody move on from this.

Can't argue with that. Plus by everybody moving on from this, can the media suffer a backlash at how they've been guided by some calculated PR and the public as a whole lose their obsession with the cult of celebrity.

Yes, sorry, MK, I should of course be at home wearing black, wringing my hands and preparing for a release of whatever tosh Elton John can rewrite.
