My pal is a Charlton season ticket holder and said he’s never really looked good enough, runs around a lot but doesn’t do much. League two is probably his level!? He’s just never really settled anywhere, in hindsight he should probably have stayed at Swindon where he was doing well… still I’m sure he’s not too fussed, decent career.
 
Started for the Franchise in their 0-5 defeat at Stockport this evening. Opening goal went through his legs,yellow-carded for his 2nd horror tackle,substituted soon after h-t .

I’d normally agree, but I will say that there’s only two ex-players I’d be interested in seeing us re-signing. Lenny is one (no chance of course) and Payne would be the second.

Obviously it’s a non-starter though. He won’t drop down here & even if he did, his wages would be too rich for our blood

Some people are but this is different.

He came through our youth team and was a real success.

He is local and has roots in the area.

Jack bridge has been brilliant for us and he followed the same path, albeit not quite at the same higher level.
