Echo News 'It’s not easy to get Southend United tickets'

Oh my, this is in the same territory as the people who won't come Sat cause they can't get their fav colour seat. Surely gotta be a wind up.

I’ll be honest I got tickets for Saturday and tried buying on my phone and it was really awkward, tried to call and ended up giving up on that. BUT then tried to use desktop and it was so easy, took about 3 minutes.

Yes in the past agree it wasn't easy but now we have the online system you can print tickets at home or sent your phone it's a massive improvement.
Think the Echo is trying to create a non story

Got my tickets online for the East stand a couple of weeks ago and they were emailed over instantly.
Found out late yesterday that the South Upper had been opened up and as that's where my season ticket is I was kind of disappointed until 2 of you said to phone the ticket office and they would swap.

I rang at 9.40 as I thought the ticket office opened at 9.30 but turns out it was 10am today.
Anyway, within a couple of mins they had taken my original order number, asked where I wanted to sit in the South Upper and emailed me the tickets.
All very simple and straightforward. Much better than previous seasons

Our online ticketing system is as good as 95% in any retail environment and is more than capable of dealing with the vast majority of ticket purchases.

Not everyone wishes to buy online but may wish to buy in person or by phone The ticket office hours of business are advertised for purchases in person where the staff are friendly, helpful, informative and professional. Telephone purchases are also available but as with any business staff priorities may be required elsewhere in the ticket office at certain times. As has been mentioned before normal landline numbers can be used in preference to premium numbers and the club has email addresses for further assistance.

Compared to recent times this is a huge improvement on what we’ve had before. How many times have we had to queue up at the ticket office in the past.

I thought I’d give some balance to the original article and I just hope they find a couple of Millwall tickets for him.

I did have a moment when booking for Boxing Day. Booked a front row seat thinking it was back row! Thankfully it was in the north so didn’t matter.

Well I avoid buying anything online but have found the new Ticket System easy to use. If I can manage it anyone can. Really disappointed with the Echo, they should check facts first.

They're not presenting it as fact. They're reporting the views of one of their readers. It's basically an opinion piece. Why is this so difficult for people to understand?
