Is it any surprise that Southend United are suffering such financial difficulties when they make it extremely difficult to purchase a ticket?

With an online booking system which is next to impossible to navigate, a premium phone line which charges huge amounts (especially via mobile) and a ticket office that is only open Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm which is typically when everyone is at work, you find yourself thinking whether they actually want your money and support or not.

As I only have Tuesday evenings and Sundays off work, I thought it will be nice to take my father to see the Halifax game on Tuesday February 11, but I cannot get through for love nor money.

I would love to show my support for the club but with the ridiculous hurdles I find myself having to jump over, they make it so that I can’t.

I only hope that SUFC find a better way of dealing with this issue so that people such and myself and many many others get to show their support on top of the support they already get.

God knows what this guys beef is with the online ticket system. You click on the stadium and seating section then click on the seat you want. Select the ticket type and then pay. Couldn't make it any easier if they tried!!!

As for premium rate ticket number. It's not its 03444 770077. The cost of calling a 0344 number is the same as calling any other landline number. Calls to 0344 numbers can be included in a phone provider's minute allowance.

But that numbers not advertised I hear Mr Bull cry. It's on the visiting Roots Hall page of the website.

Of course he could also be alluding to his availability from work which is limited to Tuesday evenings and Sundays. Perhaps he wants them club to arrange matches for a Sunday to fit in with his working patterns.

Not sure if this ridiculous letter made the print copy of the Echo but if it did it would need to be alongside 50 letters from fans who had no problems acquiring tickets.

Not sure of Mr Bull’s motive in writing this letter other than to give us bad publicity and maybe put off other fans.

Assume he wrote to the club with his concerns although I suspect not. I hope he is on here and reads the comments his letter engendered.

Average attendance of over 7,000, I think that shows that most people don’t have an issue navigating a very simple online booking system.

You click on a seat and it goes into your basket, how is that difficult? If you’ve got time to send this absolute **** into the Echo, you’ve got time to work out how to do that.

Yeah I'm all for offering constructive criticism to the club where it is warranted, but I really don't think they're doing much wrong when it comes to being able to get access to match tickets.

I guess a bit of positivity around the place with regards to wins and signings the Echo are clearly looking for a balanced view and have pulled this rabbit out of the hat to balance the positivity.

I also thought that news outlets fact checked before posting, or do they not bother now and just spout any old rubbish.
