I want talent I dont care how old.

The 19 year old may develop, but we want quality in the side now, not in a year.

Someone saying we rather took a chance on youngster rather than washed up has beens is ignoring the likes of Cureton and Lisbie who both did fantastic when moving to clubs in their 30's.

If the 18 year old is as good as the 30 year old then go with the 18 year old certainly because you have future and sell on ability, but lets not just say older players arent worthwhile, because they certainly can be.
You would make a good politician, you can't have it both ways, define good enough, as I stated as a qualified level 3 sports coach it is ridiculous to define good enough when describing a 19 year old, apart from a tiny minority of the likes of Michael Owen you will never get a 19 year old that can be described as being equally effective as a 30 year old who has played at a higher level, both offer different qualities, the question is what does PB see as priorities regarding those qualities ? If PB as a professional coach decides he can accommodate either or both into the team so be it.

The 19 year old will cost peanuts as a squad member. a Lisbie will cost plenty- and I think then PB would prefer someone a bit younger- but they are hard to find at the right financials and willing to drop to L2

Raheem Stirling was not very old when he tore our youngsters apart in the fa youth cup. The following season he was introduced into the senior side. He's not done too badly since. Sometimes youngsters step up and their progress accelerates playing alongside other senior players. Give the lad a chance.

All that matters is whether the player can deliver, and if as you say a 19 year old cant be as effective than an older player then we shouldnt be dismissing getting older players still should we, which is the point Ive been making all along.

Britt Assombalonga was good enough. as were Sokolik and Egan so thats not true anway, they were all as effective as older players, so we shouldnt be dismissing younger players either.

Its very simple, if a player can do well for us then thats all that matters, doesnt matter how old they are.
