When I had a look at the official figures over a third of our league attendances were under the 4,000 level you reckon makes up our core support.

Its a shame that your numeracy is now letting you down as your English (the complete absence of punctuation aside) seems to have improved.

As I said to an 'Uddersfield fan, I don't care if a couple of vagrants and a dog called Colin are our only attendance they will always be my Southend. Look at Torquay they can go up, don't know if they'll stay, with half the fans we get.

With our fanbase I think clubs like us and possibly Orient deserve to be atleast Second division, but that's football...

It also shows that we can drive regulars away with our attitude on here - something to consider maybe, especially in the light of 'cliquegate'...

FM is indeed correct... At the moment.

I still standby though that if we suffer a painful relegation battle next year then I would be very surprised of maintaining attendances the following season. Two years later I still standby that.

If in two years time we have achieved positions of 13th-21st in the Championship then someone can resurrect this thread again and I will eat humble pie once again!

I would be very surprised if he doesn't post anymore. I would guess just under a different alias now...

And that thread may well have been over the top, but not really a true reflection on the amount of drivel he used to post either. Bit like only showing 5% of the evidence to a jury of a court!
