Can anyone think of any redeeming feature for the Midlands?
Leamington is quite pleasant, plus it's where my mates Dan and Simmo are from.
Scraping the barrel a bit here though....

Midlands - Home to The Belfry, one of the worlds top golfing resorts.
Also spiritual home of The Ryder Cup, who can forget that Sunday afternoon in September 2002 when Paul McGinley sank that winning putt.

Hmmm. I can see why in some places in Kent you can moan, Chatham, Maidstone and such places. But where I live it's fantastic - pretty much crime free, fresh air, good beer, superb pubs, and the Weald has some fantastic views/scenery.
And his daughter, she has to be in the Premiership of fit Brummie birds!

I'd get rid of Cornwall. Full of either nouveau riche second-home owners, tossers on holiday or surfers
after I've sorted out Jockland.

I'd agree entirely with you, other than its not so much a county as a region. I'm sure the reason DtS didn't pose the question which region would you like to uninvent because it would be such an obvious no-brainer.
